Soon it's the Tour de France. However Chris Froome can not race now. Froome seriously injured himself during a training session in connection with the Criterium du Dauphine competition. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/chris-froome-could-come-back-stronger-within-six-months-says-surgeon/ |

Yes. He maybe realize that going for Maillot Jaune after this Giro is to much. But he will go for Maillot Pois instead that is one of the most popular jerseys by the French public. Vincenzo Nibali: “L’età non è un limite. Al Tour de France non farò classifica: voglio la maglia a pois” https://www.oasport.it/2019/06/giro-ditalia-2019-vincenzo-nibali-leta-non-e-un-limite-al-tour-de-france-non-faro-classifica-voglio-la-maglia-a-pois/ Btw Nibali and Chris Froome are both 34 and Alejandro Valverde is 39:) |

Nibali says he will be at the Tour to win some etapes, not the Tour. |

Lopez was obviously really angry. He smacked the fan's head, took his cap and drove away... Perhaps Lopez will receive punishment for this. |

Nibal had watched Roglic. Both did not value Carapaz, who had Mikel Landa as a team mate. Roglic had no valid teammates. Stupid fans have damages Miguel Angel Lopez, who reacted by hitting the fan, and Roglic who did not react and was fined ten second, which may damage him tomorrow in the race for podium. |

If no total disaster tomorrow, Carapaz is the winner of Giro d'Italia. Nibali second and Roglic or perhaps Landa third. I thought Nibali would have attacked more today, but he didn't... |

Speaking of Dorothea Wiever, the daugther of the alps, and cycling that she enjoys. There are not so many Grand Tours for ladies. I think there is a Giro d'Italia but apart from that there is none as I know of. Now however Sweden, Norway and Denmark are planning together for a ten-day stage race for ladies in the Nordic countries. The competition named "Battle of North" is supposed to be premiered in 2021. |

Ah, Dorothea:) But now the Giro... No change in the top GC. Will Nibali and Roglic come closer to Carapaz who gained some more seconds on his birthday? Only two mountain stages to go before the ITT in Verona... |

General classification after stage 16, Lovere - Ponte di Legno with Passo Gavia absent, but a mist-enshrouded Passo del Mortirolo. Carapaz still in Maglia Rosa, but Nibali is catching up where as Roglic drops. 1 Richard Carapaz (Ecu) Movistar Team 70:02:05 2 Vincenzo Nibali (Ita) Bahrain-Merida 0:01:47 3 Primoz Roglic (Slo) Team Jumbo-Visma 0:02:09 |

From the Giro to the Ice Hockey World Championship. Finland first beat Sweden in the group play. (Bummer... Hehe) Finland then beat Russia in the semi final:) Now Finland won over Canada in the final! Can only be compared to when the US won the Olympic final in Lake Placid 1980. Hyvää Suomi! |
