Brava Italia! Lindsey Vonn only in 27th place... Seems like she has some serious problems. Her Olympic Game is in jeopardy. |

I think that the Bad Kleinkirchheim trail was too bumpy for a lady like Lindsey Vonn and more suitable to youngsters like Sofia Goggia. The Tofane track is smoother and Lindsey will earn a better position. I've climbed Tofana II with a friend who is now dead in Australia where he migrated, like many Triestini in search of work and a better life. RIP Giorgio. Tullio |

Perhaps the Jeongseon track, South Korea will suite Lindsey better. From the Olympic Game dress rehearsal last year. https://video.eurosport.com/alpine-skiing/jeongseon/2016-2017/jeongseon-downhill-vonn-goes-out-first_vid962201/video.shtml On the other hand it suite Mikaela Schiffrin as well... Only one month to go. |

Triestini. Is that people who comes fromTrieste? I haven't climb any mountains but I have walked and skied in them. There is something magical with them that drives you to the top. Verso l'alto:) Busy days Tullio. Next weekend it's Cortina d'Ampezzo, Tofana ladies downhill and Kitzbühel, Hahnenkamm mens downhill! |

Yes, I am a Triestino. This year marks the 100th year from the foundation of my Alpine Club section and I hope to go to Trieste and celebrate with my friends. Sadly, most of my rope companions are dead, 5 on the mountains including the Himalaya and the rest from age and illness. Cortina is the pearl of the Dolomiti, with Tofane, Sorapiss, Antelao and 5 Torri surrounding it. I have climbed many of them. Tullio |

Tomorrow it's the Streif Downhill. And next week it's the Streif Vertical Up. https://youtu.be/hbOg-tAHXfo The Battle of the Hahnenkamm in Kitzbühel! https://translate.google.se/translate?sl=de&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fvertical-up.com%2Fde%2Fkitzbuehel%2F&edit-text=&authuser=0 The aim of STREIF VERTICAL UP is to master the original Streif with 3,312 km and 860 vertical meters as fast as possible. The "trick" of the whole story are the rules - there are none! |

Kitzbühel race has not finished:) Update Marc Gisin, Switzerland' was the fastest skier at all intermediate timings but lost some time to the finish line. He finished 5th though. |

Italian TV has cut short to cover the cross country sprint race at Planica, Slovenia. It was won by Johannes Klaebo, Norway, after Federico Pellegrino crashed in a net, like Sofia Goggia, Chris Innerhofer and others at Kitzbuehel. |

Calle Halfvarsson, Sweden, crashed to a safety net as well at Planica only 1 minut after start. And went through it! Video at 00:40 https://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/a/p6pX8w/jattekrasch-av-calle-halfvarsson-i-kvartsfinalen |
