For all CUDA crunchers.
Please, upgrade your video drivers to latest WHQL available and CUDA RT DLLs to CUDA RT 2.3.
This could give ~30% (more or less - depending from AR of task) speedup for free ;)

Warning - newest NVidia drivers cause problems when crunching GPUGRID wus under Windows XP 32-bit. If your active on that project, don't upgrade right now.

I'm seeing plenty more than a 30% increase...
Currently getting 9.9 credits per minute :)
-10.5 minutes per 92.6 credit task
-2.5 minutes per 29.08 credit task

Which equals 14000 RAC (approx) on a single gtx260 core 216 (highly OC'ed)

Which is VERY impressive!

a warning about a experience i had with driver 190.38 on a windows xp computer..

my mother plays pogo games and i had update the driver and it was doing something crazy in-conjunction with java, java was up to date and i rolled the driver back and this problem stopped; so a forewarning on that front...

I recommend Secunia PSI: http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/
Go Georgia Tech.

Estimated @ 117 GFLOPS

Core/shader/memory
702/1512/1000

It would be 702/1550/1100 if evga precision was working...

Zeus, As long as the result validates it shouldn't be an issue but something is causing memory usage problems.

Bob

I run (3) BFG OC MaxCore 216 GTX 260 cards @ Core/shader/memory - 675/1600/1100 ...and a static 75% Fan setting.

CUDA device: GeForce GTX 260 (driver version 19038, compute capability 1.3, 896MB, est. 123GFLOPS)

I am not sure if I am seeing quite the improvements that you are though, although I could be wrong, as I can't see completed tasks to get more info.

I did the driver update earlier today. I just copied over the 2 x dll files a few minutes ago, then rebooted.

Should hopefully see better results soon, as I can finally see results now that the function was re-enabled.

HOLLY CRAP !

.....the 'Pending' are starting to roll in....

50% +++ increase in performance.

99 sec for a 126 point WU...not too shabby considering I was 200-300 secs previously.

Thats just the CPU time...
Check out the difference in elapsed time (wall clock)
It is 1.8x-2x faster :)

Many thanks, Raistmer!

8800 Ultra - common workunit falls from 14 min to 9 min ;)

To keep DCF at 1.0, "flops" had been changed accordingly :)

Hey, after I installed 190.38, all went fine, but when replacing ' old' CUDART & CUFFT.dll for the 2.3 CUDA version, BOINC can' t srat.

"client hangs . . .". Have to shut it down manually.
How do I get the ' old' cudart & cufft.dll's back?

Maybe I' m gettin tooo old?! ;-)

Well thanks for the heads-up on that.
But having downloaded and unzipped Cuda2.3rt_fft_dlls.7z
What do I do with them?
Just copy them to the program files\BOINC folder ?
