Let's get a comprehensive list of CUDA card estimated performance (by BOINC) to help other's that may be considering an upgrade, or would like to know how their cards stacks up against others. All cards are PCIe unless otherwise stated. Here are my own personal cards that I have tested: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CUDA device: Quadro NVS 290 (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.1, 256MB, est. 5GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce 8500 GT (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.1, 512MB, est. 6GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce 9600 GSO (driver version 18585, CUDA version 1.1, 384MB, est. 48GFLOPS) Stock 384MB DDR3 CUDA device: GeForce 9600 GSO (driver version 18585, CUDA version 1.1, 384MB, est. 62GFLOPS) OC'd 384MB DDR3 CUDA device: GeForce 9600 GSO (driver version 18585, CUDA version 1.1, 768MB, est. 46GFLOPS) Stock 768MB DDR2 CUDA device: GeForce 9600 GSO (driver version 18585, CUDA version 1.1, 768MB, est. 53GFLOPS) OC'd 768MB DDR2 CUDA device: GeForce GTX 260 (driver version 18618, compute capability 1.3, 896MB, est. 100GFLOPS) Stock GTX 260 CUDA device: GeForce GTX 260 (driver version 18618, compute capability 1.3, 896MB, est. 119GFLOPS) OC'd GTX 260 700mhz/1100/1537 CUDA device: GeForce GTX 260 (driver version 18618, compute capability 1.3, 896MB, est. 123GFLOPS) OC'd GTX 260 725mhz/1100/1592 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Here are 'samples' that I have collected from previous threads by users OTHER than myself: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CUDA device: GeForce 8400 GS (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.1, 256MB, est. 4GFLOPS) <-PCI CUDA device: GeForce 8400 GS (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.1, 256MB, est. 5GFLOPS) <-PCIe CUDA device: GeForce 8600M GS (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.1, 512MB, est. 6GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce 8600 GT (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.1, 256MB, est. 14GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce 9600 GT (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.1, 512MB, est. 34GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce 9600 GT (driver version 18208, CUDA version 1.1, 512MB, est. 37GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce 9800 GT (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.1, 1024MB, est. 60GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce 9800 GX2 (driver version 18250, CUDA version 1.1, 512MB, est. 83GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce 9800 GTX+ (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.1, 512MB, est. 84GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce GTX 260 (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.3, 896MB, est. 100GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce GTX 295 (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.3, 896MB, est. 106GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce GTX 295 (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.3, 896MB, est. 106GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce GTX 275 (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.3, 896MB, est. 123GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce GTX 285 (driver version 18171, CUDA version 1.3, 1024MB, est. 127GFLOPS) CUDA device: GeForce GTX 280 (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.3, 1024MB, est. 130GFLOPS) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Please add your info if you are able to fill in any of the cards that I have missed. Simply Copy/Paste your BOINC startup message info as shown in the examples above. 09-Jul-2009 23:00:55 [---] CUDA device: GeForce GTX 260 (driver version 18624, compute capability 1.3, 896MB, est. 108GFLOPS) I can say on fast WU its up to 163GFLOPS, I set mine to an average of 135.5GFLOPS # in the app_info so DCF stays near ~1.0 # I.e. 163 - 108 / 2 + 108 = 135.5 or 163 + 108 / 2 = 135.5 ;) |

geforce 9600gt 1024 ddr2 pcie stock 12gflops o/c 26gflops (double the speed!) geforce 9800 gtx+ 512 ddr3 pcie (same as a geforce 250) stock 84gflops o/c 125gflops. overclocking the geforce gpu, shader and memory has huge increases in speed. i doubled the performance of my 9500gt by overclocking it with evga precision programme. the gtx+ also got a huge gain by o/c |

This was covered a while ago over at GPUgrid. For those that don't frequent that project here is a subset of the list. If you'd like to see the full message you can follow this link. MarkJ For those interested in buying a CUDA card or adding one to a GPU project, I collected some reported Boinc GPU ratings, added some I tested and create a Boinc GFLOPS performance list. Here's another. This is the Super Clocked version of the evga 9800gt I have the same Card. Mine came with a program called "EVGA Precision" that lets you overclock it even more. Mine was at 65GFLOPS originally. It's up to 73GFLOPS and stable. I tried pushing it up to 75 but CUDA units started to error. |
