Hi everybody. Another one to add to the list:- CUDA device: GeForce 8600 GTS (driver version 18618, compute capability 1.1, 256MB, est. 17GFLOPS) It runs a normal(ish) 6.08 (cuda) WU in about 38mins, whereas the Phenom 9850 it's running on does one 6.03 MB Wu in about 1hr 08mins on one core. Running Win XP Home, and doesn't choke up even though it's only got 256Mb. My 9800GTX+ on my other system has already been listed here. Regards, Gizbar. ![]() A proud GPU User Server Donor! |

Mine came with a program called "EVGA Precision" that lets you overclock it even more. Mine was at 65GFLOPS originally. It's up to 73GFLOPS and stable.... eVGA Precision is a GREAT program and I use it as well.....even though my cards are all BFG GTX 260's. It works...and is quite simple to use. It has worked on every Geforce card that I have tried it on....many various brands of cards as well from eVGA to XFX...and currently BFG. For those that want to give it a try, or need it, you can get it from Guru3D in the 'Video Cards OCing & Tweaking' downloads section, as I believe eVGA doesn't offer it for direct download. Get it here: http://downloads.guru3d.com/Videocards----Overclocking-&-Tweaking_c13.html With Precision 1.7, I run my BFG GTX 260 OC 55 216 cards overclocked to achieve a 'BOINC' rating of 119-120 GFLOPS (up from approx 100 GFLOPS stock) as well as run the fans at a steady 65% while crunching. They NEVER see over 65c. Hope that helps out, for those that are interested. Allan I am TCP JESUS...The Carpenter Phenom Jesus....and HAMMERING is what I do best! formerly known as...MC Hammer. |

Here is some of what I have. The others can't "see" the card since they are running headless. (anybody know the work around for that?) Sorry if there are duplicates - nothing OC. bluering: 7/11/2009 10:43:06 AM CUDA device: GeForce 8800 GT (driver version 18250, compute capability 1.1, 512MB, est. 60GFLOPS) lionfish: 7/11/2009 11:57:52 AM CUDA device: GeForce GTX 260 (driver version 18585, compute capability 1.3, 896MB, est. 104GFLOPS) seaurchin:7/11/2009 12:01:49 PM CUDA device: GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+ (driver version 18250, compute capability 1.1, 512MB, est. 77GFLOPS) barracuda:7/10/2009 11:50:56 AM CUDA device: GeForce 8800 GT (driver version 18250, compute capability 1.1, 512MB, est. 60GFLOPS) kewlblue:7/11/2009 12:05:34 PM CUDA device: GeForce 8800 GT (driver version 18250, compute capability 1.1, 512MB, est. 60GFLOPS) ![]() |

I see your using the old driver for your 9800 GTX. I'm assuming you haven't updated your other video card drivers as well. New drivers have updated support for CUDA and just might solve the problem. New driver downloads: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us Edit: Make sure you stop BOINC before installing the new drivers. |

Here is some of what I have. The others can't "see" the card since they are running headless. Install as a service using the 'Advanced' installation option menu...worked for me on a machine that was headless and used Terminal Services to admin.... Yes, I have that app. but I don't push them into oc as my system runs hot enough as it is hahahaha..... Oh, and I actually have a pair of them running in non-sli so I get all the good stuff out of them. Now I'm considering an i7 upgrade and possibly starting the beginnings of a small farm. ![]() |
