Good news - since the pipes were unblocked, some WU's are managing to report.

Bad news - a high proportion of them are being marked as validate errors. See here. Note that I do not recall the last time I saw a "Validate Error" on this box so my suspicion is that something has gone bang at the server end.

OTOH, if no-one else is seeing this, then I will have to look closer to home.

I've just had a closer look:

I had 34 WU's report at 17 Jun 2009 20:02:00 UTC (my first successful report after the system was brought up again). 19 threw "Validate Error" , 15 are "Completed, waiting for validation"; i.e. not a single one that has a wingman who has reported managed to validate.

Haven't managed to report any more since then will have to wait to see if this continues. It also makes me concerned what will happen when those other 19 wingmen report in - more "Validate Errors"??

Mine are uploaded during the day (CET) and reported half an hour ago. Hopefully that will be fixed

I've got two 'validate errors' on two tasks, reported earlier this evening. Its the first time I've had one, let alone, two!

Sorry - I do not know what's happend here as this is with the stock seti app and not an optimized app. System is cooled very good as it's in production. I will investigate what's up.

Don't think this a problem with your rigs. Mine is overclocked and optimised, but nothing like this has happened over the past year.

I just took a quick look though computers in the top 40 that don't have CUDA devices and don't see any validates in any of them, do see validate errors, though.

I've had it before on Seti Beta, the trick is try not to report straight after uploading, it happens when the validater can't find your uploaded files,
some 5.10.x versions of Boinc were prone to it, because they reported too soon after upload.

Now the 'validate error nightmare' start again?

Ohh.. well..

From 26 May 2009 23:25 UTC to 16 Jun 2009 01:46 UTC I had 20 validate errors.

The Berkeley crew changed again the server software?

I currently have network access disabled since I can't get through to Berkeley anyway. Will probably leave it that way now until this is resolved.

The two 'validate errors' that I've got, were uploaded last night.....reported at about 18.45 UTC today. On the other PC, I've also got a 'missing' WU - its not in the list at this end and the 'result' for it, at that end, shows it as being in progress. I think its fair to say that, something is not quite right.

Hmmmm. We've seen that one before, too. Results uploaded before an outage and reported after...

Here are my last 4:
Looks like both CPU and GPU wU's affected.

I have suspended network activity to GPU host, will let CPU host proceed as normal and monitor.

Best of luck getting things resolved. Hope nothing important went boom this time. :)
