Welcome to the new 10 year Club Members. And yes, I got my Mill!

Congrats, Chris.
Having blown up my GTX295 a while ago, I've now got a GTX460 up and running to contribute to the Team totals.

Hi All:
Dear old celttooth is back again. It has been a bit and I am noticing that seti is now showing a screen saver. Does anyone know how to get the computer to just do work units and save the cycles that the puter is using to run the cute display? Like in the command line days way back when.

SETI piggybacks on BOINC, and BOINC piggybacks on Windows.

Just go to the Windows Display control panel, and set 'screensaver' to 'none' or 'blank'. Avoid BOINC, or anything with '3D' in its name.

Hi:
Thank you muchly. See: The older I get, the more I seem to forget. Thank God for computers, now all I need is a computer that can make coffee and go to the bathroom for me. (LOL)

Hello everyone,
I become a member since 10 years ago, but 5 days ago I picked up again for SETI and hope to have more details from long and far somewhere.

Well I am finally in the 10 year club so to celebrate I will so have a 460 card and I am #1 in my class for about 2 years now but a fella with a 460 in #3 will soon catch up with me so I got a 460 card to keep him at bay. It should be in my box in a couple days.

Wow, really didn't realize that time has passed so fast. Just checked my information and found out that I can celebrate my 12 years of SETI@HOme at 24 May 2011. Probably I have my 1 000 000 SETI@Home points, even though I'm donating my computer resources to several other BOINC projects also, worth of little bit shy 4 000 000 points at the moment alltogether.

After two years of waiting and 10 years of participation, I finally gained the right to enroll in the club! WoW.

[edit]I probably would have started back in 1999, but I was kinda busy dodging missiles that buzzed over my head ;-)[/edit]

Who the hell is General Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?¿

Just in case you missed it!
===========================

Hi:
I am just now watching "Avatar" (Directors cut.) and in the scene where Weaver is complaining to the mine manager about getting an ex marine as an avatar driver, there is a setie@home workunit screen saver on a monitor screen to the top left of the picture. It looks like a classic work unit. It is when the manager says "A marine we can use."

If there was a thread like this in 2009, I missed it. I joined in May, 1999.

This is not the longest outage, If ET has waited all this time for us to get to this stage in our development, then he will wait a few days more.
After things are fixed, I'll be here, "Seti@home will be here, and hopefully you will be here as well.
