How about a wind turbine for when it's dark?

How about directly heating the water with sunlight?

Just thoughts.

Height limits of 35' in residential areas prohibit most and then there's the fact that the city may not have any experience(rules) with vertical axis wind turbines(vawt), One guy in Rancho Palos Verdes CA was told by the city to take His down as they thought It might blow over(It's been on the News recently, Like Here) and a neighbor complained about the turbines looks(lousy critic).

On heating the water, The RCC Heatpump will heat water cheaper than Gas and so solar is needed for that and It's done as by product of making cool air or heated air from what little I've read Here.
