These two graphs are interesting. AP reduced 50% in 30 days, MB gained 50%; so that despite all the server woes clients are still getting data, and I don't think it is time to stop asking for work when it is needed. Better do it now. The moment AP comes on stream again the server will again be choked. |

Since the Server status page says there's lots of MBs to send, why do I then often get a message from Boinc saying Project has no jobs available? |

Since the Server status page says there's lots of MBs to send, why do I then often get a message from Boinc saying Project has no jobs available? As of this moment in time, the Server Status Ready to Send is 4 hours out of date ("As of") and Network Traffic is zilch. So that's 2 possible reasons? F. |

It seems like they've run out of workunits or am generating them super slowly... What if Fiction was Fact and Fact was Fiction and vice versa? |

Out of work... Time to shut down your BOINC Clients for now. (unless you have other projects running.) What if Fiction was Fact and Fact was Fiction and vice versa? |

Can one of the mods PM/Contact one of the project scientist to kick the servers to start work flowing again please. I know they can remotely run somethings without driving into the lab. Other wise I guess we will be without work until after the tuesday downtime/server shutdowns are done. |

Can one of the mods PM/Contact one of the project scientist to kick the servers to start work flowing again please. I know they can remotely run somethings without driving into the lab. Other wise I guess we will be without work until after the tuesday downtime/server shutdowns are done. I think it's been noticed and something has been kicked, at least the traffic graph has jumped up again. But of course after the outage it's maxed out the network link, and it's going to be hit and miss getting work untill things catche up. Matt's last technical news post alludes to some clogging up of the database servers with extra numbers of small MB workunits, due to the lack of big fat AP units. They have a new (pre-loved) server to be installed and hopefully help out with the database issues, but I imagine that swapping that out will also cause some disruption. Waiting is... Ian |

I spoke too soon, Seti seems to be without any new work and earlier It may be that I received some work that was reissued, Better than nothing I guess and I suppose the outage should get that fixed. I didn't check in until 7pm Eastern time but it could have been them just taking a bit longer than usual. It happens sometimes. That and all the usual posters may be having dinner. PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

I am getting tasks, but rather slow and not all new tasks in one go. On my other PC I'm not getting any tasks. Anyway, don't think I've seen this before: Message from server: Completed result 15mr09ab.29032.8661.6.8.151_0 refused: result already reported as success |

I am getting tasks, but rather slow and not all new tasks in one go. That can happen when the network is very busy. You machine reports the W/U as done, and the server sends an acknowledgement. But due to network problems your machine never recieves that acknowledgement. Your machine tries to report the same work unit again, and the server says "Already got it". So nothing to worry about. The BOINC scheduler CPU truly is overloading. I'm getting tons of "No headers, No data" messages on one machine when I know another machine is getting WUs. What if Fiction was Fact and Fact was Fiction and vice versa? |
