If you don't mind using local settings, this is fine. But, now if you make changes to settings on the web they will not take effect on that machine... ID: 896916 ·

Sorry, thanks Paul! Velcome ... One of the bad things about the local vs. web preferences is that there is no clear indicator that you are on local vs. web when you look at the preferences pane... I don't know how many times I got burned on that one ... really annoying when it happens ... you expect a change to propagate and it does not and it is hard to understand why ... Part of it is the natural tendency to close windows with the "Ok" button not realizing that the button is really "Set Machine to These Local Preferences" ... ("Set Local Preferences"?) ID: 896932 ·
