For about the past 30 hours all my completed work units have produced messages like the following:

SETI@home - 2004-10-08 18:03:43 - Started upload of 14mr04aa.17223.3345.361092.152_2_0

SETI@home - 2004-10-08 18:03:48 - Permanently failed upload of 14mr04aa.17223.3345.361092.152_2_0

I'm going to turn BOINC off until tomorrow rather than waste my computer time. (BOINC ver 4.09 SETI 4.05 Win XP home SP2, P4 3.0 H/T)

Eventually the server will accept the file. Let it keep trying on its own, mine took about 12 hours or so.

I've lost a distressing number of work units these last couple of days on two pc's. (Three pc's are submitting properly, however.) They're my fastest boxes, of course. Several were rejected in the last few minutes, so I'm suspending Boinc on these machines and running Classic until this problem is resolved.

Thiw will not help because the problem is on the Berkeley end not your end. The units are probably part of the ones that were lost thru the latest hardware changeover. Your system just has some that are no longer recognized as being sent out and your quitting will not help solve that problem. I have 7 machines currently crunching for Boinc and have the exact same issues.
