I have a Windows system that has been running BOINC for muitiple years on various versions of the BOINC Manager. When I tried to upgrade to 6.6.20 I got an error that it could not find the .MSI file. The path to the file location appeared correct. I tried another down load no help. I tried to deinstall to do a fresh install .. same error. I have manually executed the .MSI from its download directory (using the Find command) and same result. Suggestions and help are now needed.

Look in this FAQ for all the options and more. The best thing is to do a repair install with your previous BOINC version to fix the corruption.

I am not very good at this, so please go easy on me. Just upgraded to the 6.6.20 version. Runs a AP for about a minute, slows down, then locks up everything. Running XP Pro, 2 gig of ram. AMD-4000. Video card is only 265 ddr2. Upgraded the power supply to handle a 512 ddr2 video card. I still get the same problem. With the old version 6.4.5 had no problems at all. Is it ok run the old version and not the 6.6.20 version.
