I have installed a 1TB drive and need to change my default BOINC projects folder in windows. please advise It depends on exactly what version of BOINC you have at the moment. If you have the latest version (6.6.20), you uninstall 6.6.20. Move the Data directory (this can be discovered with a restart of BOINC. It is one of the first lines in the messages tab). Install 6.6.20 with the new data directory specified (and possibly the new executable directory). If you have nearly the latest version (6.2.x or later), you can either follow the above steps, or you can try installing 6.6.20 and specify the new directories. Check the new data directory BEFORE you start BOINC for the first time to see if the data was moved. If not, move it by hand. If you have an old version (older than 6.x), you should install and specify the new directories. Again check the data directory before you start the first time. ![]() ![]() BOINC WIKI |
