Rake the fall leaves? By next week?

no, around here most (90%+)people rake in spring to remove dead grass, snow mold, and the "lift" the grass up so that grass can get some air. Under the snow the grass gets all matted down. Course we get more snow than most also.

Spring Raking

That's what I like about where I live; the climate is very similar to Southern New England (where I'm originally from), just with not as much snow in the wintertime!

getting a little heavy in here.

just finished pushing the last of the snow around the front yard, can probably rake by next week.

Rake the fall leaves? By next week?

Lovely I just have to buy some plywood to replace a door for the water heater as the wind tore the old one completely off It's hinge. And of course My income in May is going down by $37 a month. sigh, what next?

Try a second hand building supply store. They might have a better door at a lower price.

The manager here said If I can get a piece of plywood He can fix It, So that's what I'll do as It's only $9.50 for the plywood(CDX 21.5"x71.5"x1/2"). The door is for a mobile homes water heater and there are no second hand building supply stores around the Barstow CA area, So I'll do what I must on Wednesday as the guy who cuts the plywood has gone home already.

But thanks for the suggestion JM7, The winds around here are something else, But not nearly as bad as the Midwest of course, but they are still a bit unnerving at times.

I called My elected state assembly and senate representatives, one had a recording(I left a message) and one had a live person, Some how I wished those people got no more than someone who has to live on SSI income, That would take a petition and a constitutional amendment for the California Constitution, Imagine that a pay cut for the legislature. I'd like to see them live on what I get every month and no more. Which is now $870 a month, It was $907, California is not a cheap place to live in, Although I can't imagine living anywhere else, Not on $674 a month and certainly not by Myself either.

Hello and Good morning to all ... ;)

Hi Cebion!

After trying to get a Westell 6100F DSL modem to work with a Linksys BEFSR81 8 port Router and failing(from 4pm PDT to about 11pm PDT), I then battled to get Verizon to reset My connection so that the Westell Wirespeed DSL modem would work again and then get the Wirespeed to work with the Linksys and all is normal once again now, The 6100F would work fine by itself, But when I put the modem in "bridge mode" from "routedBridge mode", The 6100F would drop the internet connection and then the Linksys could find no IP address, I wonder why... At one point a Verizon employee once again said that the problem was with My Linksys Router(NUTZ), Obviously the router works perfectly, As the router only has two problems:

1. the router is It is out of warranty.
2. the firmware update function doesn't work and so the firmware is from Dec 2002.

In any case I give up, Besides I'm tired and I'm going to bed, Good Night all!

Rake the fall leaves? By next week?

no, around here most (90%+)people rake in spring to remove dead grass, snow mold, and the "lift" the grass up so that grass can get some air. Under the snow the grass gets all matted down. Course we get more snow than most also.

Spring Raking

Never heard of practice.

Gotta do it here in the Great white North as well, or else you get a very patchy lawn later in the year. My lawn was almost dry enough to start, when we got an inch of snow.

And by the way, I win.

At least you get a break from lawn mowing. You get to shovel snow instead.
