Your very welcome folks.
The thing thats cool about this toolbar is you can add and remove anything you want. I have been trying to figure out a way to have RAC and Total credit displayed on it. I haven't tried real hard tho.. LOL

The toolbar has a Radio Player which you can set up to your fav stations.
You can add games, an Email alerter, shortcuts to fav programs.

As far as I can tell this is a very safe toolbar. At the very most, it 'may' track your internet activity. I didnt read anywhere in the 'agreement' that it does unless I missed it somehow.

Any ideas to improve it are welcome

Ok.. I cant get the user stats to work.. There is no way to store any info the user can change I.E. user ID that is used for stat RSSfeeds.
I did add a button to my server stat page :)

[b] You can update changes I made to the toolbar but going to the dropdown menu next to the SETI@Home button and clicking on 'Update Toolbar'[b]

This is what the toolbar looks like currently.

(click it to download it)
There are many things that can be added but I can NOT add peronalized info like your stats to this toolbar.
There may be a way to do this but it would most likely require registering your IP in to a data base so a personal XML set could be sent back to the toolbar.

Seeing how I was just but on a 2 week on, 2 week off schedule at work, I will have time to mess with this concept.

In the mean time.. enjoy the toolbar and please leave feedback.
Currenly, there are 36 using it :)

Did you look at the other two existing SETI toolbars?

I'm not one for cluttering the web page with numerous toolbars, but this is nice & handy. Thanks Mike.

Sorry to disappoint you. I did try the toolbar but removed it again. I have the following reasons to do so:

It says in the options it is easy to add to and remove items from the bar but this did not work for me.
I have items on the bar which I have on other places of my screen already (weather, searchbar, e-mail notification)
I use the Firefox plugin "Fast Dial" which gives me a simple page on which I can add as many blocks as I want, each block representing a webpage. I can customize them as I want to. Simply click the block and a new page is opened in a new Tab. These webpages are not only Seti related, but can be anything.
The toolbar eats up space on the screen, leaving less space for the actual webpage. This is also the reason I never added extra toolbars: I like a screen as large as possible to do what I want to do, not for extra's.
The toolbar changed the colors of the Tabs I have open, making them hard to read.

I know I am the first one with negative comment. I know I am different. I know I always will be. Sorry. You found something you like and you shared it with the rest, which is great. Don't get me wrong, it's just that this bar isn't working for me.
I hope others who like it enjoy the bar.

Hey.. its no disappointment.. Your comment is not rude in anyway :)
I dont use toolbars or didnt.. I just made this one as an easy way to get around seti@home. Its not pointed at everyone or other projects. Its for ones that more or less crunch only or mostly only seti@home.

Im not sure what you mean by it changing the color of the tabs.. That must be a bug in the toolbar working with FireFox? I have no problems on IE 7.

IMHO.. Most toolbars are useless.. they eat space like you said. Others like AVGs Surf-Shield are awesome. Also.. There are toolbars that can be dangerous.

I like to listen to the radio and some of the tv channels while im working on Boinc.NET. The Classic thriller Movies in the USA cat. is pretty cool.

Anyway.. Thanks for the comment. Maybe I'll look into the bug with FF when I have more time.

Just found this. Looked too fast the first time and didn't realize it gave you stats.
I love it! Thank you very much! This is very helpful. I have never used a toolbar as I sorta detest them. But this is a must.

Im happy you like it :) I dont use any toolbars either except the AVG page scanner which I recommend to everyone. It will warn you BEFORE you click on a site that could cause harm. Dont fall for the 'Your system has a Virus' warnning some sites tell you. Its how these chumps get you to install a nasty activeX. I have repaired my step kids puters to many times because of this one nasty activeX. Once installed, it hijacks the browser.
