How many passes have been let in racing history? It is ettiquette isn't? I mean, he wasn't competing for the championship victory points was he? You could do the research and learn that it happens in most sports. It's sort of the gimme in golf, it's what gentleman do, or should they send out the barricades? We all know who won the most races, who was the most consistant, but, more importantly who was the fastest, the most exciting and the best. It would be poor taste to deny it. And thats good for the sport. |

I'm wondering if some day we could have a 'team SETI' car racing... http://www.race-cars.com/carsales/mf.htm |

I'm looking forward to a US team next year. A Seti team is way beyond my expectations. |

I was just wondering, how many people here, have actually driven a car, with only one seat in it, in a circuit race? I'll admit to driving a Reynard at Silverstone and a few other circuits. Aside from that, I've driven a Toyota Supra Mk2 (mine) and a Mk4 (3.0l turbo/ 6 speed - a friend's..also a woman) at Thruxton and my old Mk2 at Silverstone (God, I loved that circuit and that car!). Mark me down as a racing enthusiast. My father 'introduced' me to Jack Brabham at Warwick Farm, in about 1967 and prior to that, I followed the late, great Jim Clark's career with great interest. To my mind, he, Senna and Ascari were the greatest F1 drivers - all of them died too young. There have been many changes to F1 in recent years, some for the best, others not. If you've ever heard a super-charged 16 cylinder BRM or a V12 Ferrari, you'll know what I'm saying..... Don't take life too seriously, as you'll never come out of it alive! |

I can say that I have driven several race cars but not a single seater on a circut. The only single seaters I ever drove were on a 1/4 mile. As for driving on closed circuts, well I have driven several in 2 seaters. However, the vast majority of my racing was off any circult or other pavement. I drove several of the Baja 250's, 500's and 1,000's and other off road races. Usally drove a Datsun PU. Some of you might remember a 1974 Datsun PU TV commercial where 3 nice shiney new Datsun PU crossed the Baja 1,000 finish line while the narator annoced that Datsun won 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the Baja 1,000. I was number three. Oh and my truck was not shiny and new looking when I crossed the line. None of the trucks were. In fact, I had very little of the body left when I finished that race. |

Button takes 5th for the World Championship. I was really rooting for poor old Rubens. If you didn't watch you missed a great race. Lot's of overtaking, pit drama and plain old wipe outs. |

Last race of the season this weekend. Button took first at the last race, but who will be number 2 & 3. Watch and you will also get to see some of the biggest yatchs in the world. There's one by turn 5 that looks like a hotel, not a boat. The whole island was made for racing, not just the course. Want a definition of extravagant. Watch this race from Abu Dhabi. |

Lewis is out due to brake failure. What do you need brakes for? Just give it more gas. |

Yes, they will have no refueling stops. Cars will be heavier and more difficult to drive. No Kers. Only Barrichello has competed with fully loaded car. Tullio |
