Traffic jams around Monza can be awful. This year, with an Italian driver on a Ferrari, they probably will be worse than ever. Also, the racetrack lies within the Park of the Royal Villa, and after the race it looks like a trash dump. So I prefer not to increase its entropy and see the race from my living room, near my fridge. I might even uncork a bottle of Schioppettino if Fisi wins and a bottle of German beer if Kimi wins. Cheers. The Finns do make some good beers, although the best try to have German sounding names. And there is always Finnish white potato wine. |

If they are guilty the 2008 title should go to Massa, Or are you suggesting that all Singapore results should be disqualified, (LewHam came 3rd and Felipe 13th at Singapore 2008)? Otherwise, disqualifying Renault from Singapore 2008 will increase LewHam's end of season points total by 2 and Felipe's by 0. Given the animosity between the 2007 McLaren drivers, and Alonso's desire to drive a red car, it's doubtful that Alonso would have done anything deliberately to help LewHam's title chances at the expense of Massa. I find the possibility that Renault's alleged actions did this, umm, ironic :) I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

This hypothesis was advanced by an Italian sports newspaper. But let's wait for the result of the inquiry. Car racing is becoming similar to bicycle racing, where results can be overturned later. Tullio |

If they are guilty the 2008 title should go to Massa, What happened with Piquet throwing Renault under the bus reminds me a lot of when Mangini ratted out the Pats for video taping. |

Monza qualifying: And Fisi behind both Force Indias! Still, considering the small number of laps he has actually done in the Ferrari, it's amazing he is where he is. He can only get better. |

1 Barrichello North American TV didn't show the whole Hamilton crash. Why did the back wheel come off, when he hit the wall with the front? Did something break before he spun? |

The people from Italian TV said the race was viewed and broadcast by a team belonging to Bernie Ecclestone and they had no way of showing anything else. So I cannot answer your question. There was no helicopter covering. |

I saw the wheel too and it looked like there might have been something going on, but Lewis Hamilton admitted he made a mistake. He admitted that he just pushed too hard. "We didn't have the pace so I was pushing every lap like it was qualifying. The car was still good today, just not good enough. I can only apologize to my team and all my fans," |

This hypothesis was advanced by an Italian sports newspaper. But let's wait for the result of the inquiry. Car racing is becoming similar to bicycle racing, where results can be overturned later. The results are in, and man what a mess. Alsonso appears to have walked away from it pretty cleanly, but no more Flavio, which is a shame, though if he was involved (a charge he denies, but others involved say he was), not undeserved. Looks like the Italian press's desire to have the 2008 standings overturned has not come to pass, so LewHam remains the 2008 champion. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |
