I have 2 Nvidia 8800GT cards in SLI mode running. I just updated Boinc to take advantage of the CUDA option.

1. I had to shutdown Boinc in order to post this message because my graphics stutter so much. The curser moves in increments and graphics load slow. I've set my preferences to Suspend CUDA while PC is in use but it doesn't appear to suspend.

2. I'm running an Athlon 64 X2 Dual with 2 GB ram. When I look at my processes I have 2 SETI@Home processes running which is normal but now have EXPLORER running also. CUDA seems to be causing the EXPLORER activity.

How do I keep CUDA from interfering with my grpahics?

Is this EXPLORER activity normal with CUDA?

My CUDA FAQ will answer your first question.

As for Explorer.exe being used, neither BOINC nor CUDA use it. So it must be something on your system. It has been reported before by other people, but the development people don't see it on their systems, so it must be something local.

See this thread here at Seti and my advice (last post so far).
