I noticed that my pending had jumped up from 2,000 to over 3,000.
It has been hovering around 2,000 for months.
And I just run a cache of 0.1 on both my puters.
And i just run MB. i did a random check and it seems to be split between wingman with huge caches and those with small caches. So i dont think thats it.

I am doing MB's now because AP's have dried up.
Pending credits are going up for me also.
My RAC is falling rapidly due to server problems, but it
is all usefull work.

Odd. Over the past 2 weeks my pending has gone from ~60k to ~22k. All those APs are clearing up.

I must have been unlucky with wingmen.
I have 94 AP's to validate some from
early and mid April.
Still its credit in the bank log haul.lol

Edit Also there is about 100k
of MB's not being validated to quickly.

Yeah, I can relate to that. 90% of the wingmen I get stuck with are first-timers that get the WUs, and then never crunch or return them, never abort/detach, and just leave me hanging for another month for it to be re-issued.

Pending has been the lowest recently, at 33k

Strangely still 26 AP WUs pending validation. Would have expected like <10.

I've only got four APs still in pending but it looks like three of them will be going back out to new crunchers near the end of the month. :(

When a system first starts crunching it generally takes at least 4-6 weeks for the RAC to reach it's "normal" level, so it'd probably be a similar time frame for pending credits (although it will probably level off a bit sooner than RAC).

I have been seeing mine float between 40,000 and 50,000 for the past few weeks.

My pendings have been between 45K and 60K over the last few weeks with just an i7 and two Q9450s, no CUDA.

Thank you all for the answers. My pending is now at 20k plus. My mac and the old P4 were running about 2k pending combined. Im really impressed with the i7 and cuda running App Opps. WOW, if the P4 ever dies im getting another i7.

The problem is exacerbated by the long completion deadlines - 7 weeks or so. Surely this could be cut back to no more than say 4 weeks ?

Yes, it could. The change would make some of the slower hosts ineligible for any S@H work, some people think that's a good idea but I don't. Such hosts are relatively rare, and don't contribute much to the perceived "problem" with pending credit. Hosts with very large cache settings are far more numerous.

Supporting hosts with about 1:3000 speed differences (40 MWIPS to 120 GWIPS) does make things awkward for users with hosts near the extremes. Unless the server-side storage needs get out of hand I don't expect the project will want to make a change.
