And so instead of reading the forums to see if there's possibly a problem, detailed in other threads, such as this one here in this forum, you think "let's make a new thread"? ;-)

There's a thread here as well, as there is one here and here and here, here, here, here and here.

It's rather difficult not to find a forum in which there isn't a thread about the upload and download problems that are plaguing Seti at this moment. ;-)

Waiting for a moderator to merge all those threads into one

Hey Ageless, did you notice the uploads and downloads seem to be not working? :) Good morning Sir

My time correction factore must be out because my computer only had 6 scans left (its a quad core) not going to last much longer before I run dry.

Probably the most irritating part is the seeing one go to 100% and then time out waiting for the acknowledgment from the server.

I am also having problems getting finished work uploaded...I currently have 6 Seti projects that have been 'uploading' for several days

I have read muxh on setting my cache to more days, but my problem is that on two of the three machines all is ok, but on my most powerful machine, even with the cahce set at 10 days, it only puts about 1.5 days worth of work to the machine. I am running on Vista 64 bit, with Core 2 - Quad, and 8 GB of RAM. The standard installation was used and I set my parameters with the BOINC application. If someone can help... I have been without work for over 48 hours now...

Consider this the opportunity to join less fragile BOINC projects -- there are a bunch of them which run more regularly than SETI.

My time correction factore must be out because my computer only had 6 scans left (its a quad core) not going to last much longer before I run dry.

Best of luck to our Berkley boys for a timely and painless (relatively) recovery. All 3 Cuda hosts ran dry overnight. I don't run other projects on them for now, because when I am polling for work I like them to start for crunch as soon as get one task.

Anyway, around 500wu's it looks like trying to get home. Set to suspend network activity on all but one host until I see things are on the mend. Good luck fellas, everyone try for have a great day! Aloha! -Brandon

Not being able to upload for 3 days… This is not acceptable. I am suspending all SETI work in and out till the server issues are resolved. There are other projects that keep up with outages, and have an IT that will work on the weekends if they are down...

Yeah, I've got six or seven in my list that have that problem. Sooooo close to getting rid of them, yet a simple, small ACK packet holds up the entire show.

So whats this new upload download thing? Does it have to do with the Interweb? Can I get one?

Almost all of my WU's on my home machines have been uploaded and reported. Just got a raft of lovely AP's to run.

That's Interwebs. If you're gonna get it wrong, get it right!

So now I'm curious. My uploads have started working finally. 2 of 5 uploads have completed, but I have 2 others that are at Progress 100.00%, but are still in retry mode. Why would it need to retry an upload that progressed to 100%?

My only complaint is the lack of communication when we have the normal weekend Crash and burn. And yo have to admit since new years weekend weve been doing that a lot. I signed up for milkyway @ home just to stay busy. And there when they have a server problem they tell you right at the home page. if you can get to it that is. and lets face if you cant get to the home page on any project theres trouble. Myself i can live with not getting work or uploading , but like most folks id just like to here a word from the man saying ok we got big problems can you suspend your work till monday. Hell it has taken ten years to get my credits up to a respectful number a few days wont kill me. But i would like to know whats up in a timely matter,

The progress 100% column is in the Tasks tab. It'll only tell you that you crunched the task 100%. Not that it uploaded. For that, check the progress column in the Transfers tab. :-)
