I have been getting this message on my work computer since early January. It seems it was a short break/pause, but now it is working again smoothly... Can you confirm Edward? Cheers! |

I am still not getting any new work units to process. Here is the last message I recieved today. Edward, do you have your PC working on a 24/7 basis? Do you turn it off/on every day? Maybe your settings are not up to date anymore....I see you joined long time ago but your RAC is very low. You need indeed a long time of inactivity if you show only 4 as your RAC. I have only one Astropulse crunching for the last three days, so I had no connections to the SETI server for uploading any work units, but Einstein is running/operating fine. I would check the settings and reboot the PC. |

Maybe this isn't exactly a 'panic' per se, but has anyone else noticed that a lot of the AP_v5 WUs recently have been 0% blanked and 30 pulses (but not 30 spikes)? A lot (more like all) of the ones I'm crunching and turning in are like that. They were DLed about a week ago. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

Well, just had a look at the most recent 30 pendings I have listed, of those, 2 are the case you mention, the rest are not... -Dave |

Most of them have cleared already, but looking through my spreadsheet for the ones in question and pulled up the PDFs for them. name - single/repetative - blanked ap_02ja09aa_B0_P1_00319_20090312_13746.wu_0 - 8/30 - 0% ap_02ja09aa_B2_P0_00147_20090312_28445.wu_1 - 12/30 - 0% ap_02ja09aa_B1_P1_00305_20090313_16987.wu_1 - 8/30 - 0% ap_30dc08aa_B5_P0_00060_20090313_07614.wu_1 - 14/30 - 0% ap_02ja09aa_B0_P1_00014_20090312_13746.wu_1 - 11/30 - 0% ap_30dc08aa_B6_P1_00234_20090313_04081.wu_0 - 9/30 - 0% ap_02ja09aa_B6_P1_00181_20090313_17112.wu_1 - 9/30 - 0% So it's not as many as I thought, but..I presently have 3 more that will be finishing soon that are from the 03ja09aa, 12ja09ac, 02ja09ad tapes that look like they will be a similar result, and that's just on the main cruncher. Three other AP crunchers have some WUs and I don't feel like digging through those. It appears it might have just been a noisy tape.. Edward, I'd clear your local preferences on each of your machines, 100Mb seems such a small amount of disk space for Boinc and projects, my default local preferences show up as use at most 10Gb, and leave 0.1Gb free. Claggy |

At least it happened on a Friday morning instead of Friday after they had left. This way they have a chance to fix it before the weekend. PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

At least it happened on a Friday morning instead of Friday after they had left. This way they have a chance to fix it before the weekend. Bad assumption. Matt doesn't come in on Fridays, so he would have to kick the system from home or the road if he has a gig this weekend. |
