We now have a shortcut for those of us who are addicted to paging through a host computers work trying to locate a specific work unit. You know who you are. The ones looking and reading all the little pop-up's with the name of the work unit and going page after page after page ad nausium looking for one specific work unit. On a request from me Dr. A. has made some changes to the host work unit pages which makes it a lot easier to locate that one specific work unit. At the top of your browser, in the url address line a new value is added when you page beyond the first page. The value is show_names=0. Change it's value from 0 to 1 and refresh the page. Now all the file names, the ones you have been looking for are displayed and easy to find. The value is a sticky so it stays on all the succeeding pages. I don't know if other changes are to be made but this change was badly needed. Cool!! Thanks go to Dr. A. and the rest of the crew at Berkeley. Have a nice weekend! That one is a handy upgrade, and that shouldn't be too much additional stress on the database. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

You can just add &show_names=1 in the URL on the first page, this gives you the names of the most recent WU's immediately. Nice feature, I know I will use it!! |

Or...as I just noticed, on the first column (on the first page) there is a link under the column title for "show names". That does the same thing. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

nice, but the 20 tasks per page still gets me, I have so many pages to work through to find the result Im looking for.. It would be nice if this was user selectable. I've seen other sites that allow you to choose between 20, 50, 100 and 200 lines of whatever you're listing. |

nice, but the 20 tasks per page still gets me, I have so many pages to work through to find the result Im looking for.. This is a great addition to the project page. I have always been frustrated looking for a particular WU and having to spool through page after page to find it. Also the 50 or 100 lines on a page is a great idea as Google does on their image search page for example. http://www.novascotia.com |
