The driver version is 7.15.11.7923 from windows 7 windows update.

I do not remember which one, but the GPU in the 750a SLI is equivalent to a GeForce 8100 or 8200 or 8300.

Boinc reported that as: NVIDIA GeForce 8100 / nForce 720a (256MB)

That is because the driver will report that as such. Look at the nForce chipset drivers, then Products Supported. It'll show a list of chipsets, some of which show what kind of GPU it uses, others do not.

I have asked the nVidia developer if there is a way for the user, or for us n00bs, to find out what kind of GPU those other chipsets use. ;-)

Since he Running windows 7 the only newer drivers are from windows update.

Chipset drivers only as well and they are in the double digits. According to the nVidia site, they're at 15.24 ... which is going to be a problem with BOINC 6.6.8 as it'll have minimum GPU driver detection, set to release 175. Be below it and you will be urged to update your driver and not get work.

Hopefully he'll post again, and tell us what driver versions he has for chipset and graphics, and what the onboard GPU is.

Maybe it's too slowly to calculate CUDA-WUs..

No 'chipset-GPU' is listed there, so I guess it's not possible to calculate on this onboard GPU..

I have recently updated BOINC and now seti can use CUDA on my nvida 750a SLI Motherboard. The problem is the work units keep failing with different errors.

I'm using Client 6.6.7
