Hi all, recently I noticed a slow down of my pc (AMD 5600 CPU). In task manager i noticed that the explorer.exe process goes up to 50% of cpu usage. Shutting down boinc the process resumes the normal 0-5%. I later found that this happens only during the seti@home (6.08) ruinning time (I've also lhc and rosetta projects). is this problem related with some cuda-nvidia issues i've read in forums? Thanks in advance! Andy |

Hi all, Hello! IMHO, yes. My computer shows the same sign (explorer.exe grabs all time from one CPU core) when processing so-called VLAR (Very Low Angle Range) Multibeam SETI@Home-workunits with 6.08 Processing of non-VLAR workunits (which recorded at true angle range >0.13) never had the same problem with explorer.exe |
