I just recently installed v6.4.5 and now my graphics card (88GT 512) is processing as well. I don't have any problems with it, but I was wondering whether it is possible to stop BIONC using your GPU. I read something on the QA-section that somewhere in your prefs in BOINC-manager, you can set whether or not BOINC should use it, but I can't find it. Do I have the latest v? v6.4.5 was the one I found at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php but I've read here on the QA-section that somebody was talking about a v6.6. Any ideas where to find that one, and better still, how to stop BOINC using my GPU? Greetz, GeneralDuke |

Any ideas where to find that one, and better still, how to stop BOINC using my GPU? It's in your SETI@home preferences on this site. Near the bottom, you find Use Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) if available. Gruß, Gundolf [edit]You'll have to click update or otherwise wait for a contact of your host to SETI before the change takes effect. And already downloaded CUDA tasks will be processed.[/edit] Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) SETI@home classic workunits 3,758 SETI@home classic CPU time 66,520 hours |

Great, thanks! I checked the heat of my gfx, at idle it was about 47 and at full load by BOINC about 57, so I don't think I will use it too often. |

Actually that's not bad. Under full load, my GeForce 9600GT 512mb runs at 52c and idles in the low 40's. You will be assimilated...bunghole! |
