Do I have to detach / atach to get CUDA units?

I remember originally I had to detach from seti, then reatach and it would install the seti software needed to run cuda. But, I had issues so turned it off in the prefs and did the same, detach then atach to get the 6.03 version back. My quesiton is.... i updated my settings to accept cuda units again, do i need to detach or will it automatically download what I need? ID: 862618 ·

No, just change the prefs, press the "Update" in Boinc Manager and wait. I found it seemed to take a little while to register (i.e. I got some more 6.03's down initially) but, eventually the system started feeding me the CUDA's. F. ID: 862678 ·
