need testers for a new program, the program reads the core temperature of each processor core.
Got some Intel testers but for some reason not for AMD.

Windows only 32 Bit.

Download and install the program: download page
http://www.efmer.eu/boinc/ -> download TThrottle setup

Start the program and click on the "Logging" tab and copy everything in it and send it to me
Go to the "expert" tab and click "Start PCI scan" click on "List" copy everything in it and send it to me.

boinc and then at efmer.eu or fred and then at efmer.eu

I should have taken the web-page at face value. It says Windows 32 bit only, but I figured I'd try anyways.

Windows 2003 64 bit, Opteron Dual Core processors.

08:23:21 OpenService failed! Error = 1060 (start driver)
Unable to start driver. (is the driver installed?)
08:23:21 ERROR: Driver NOT installed properly

The rest I'll send via PM.

Will make a 64 bit version. But 32 bit and 64 bit OS have the same name but they are very very different for the developer.

No doubt. :-)

I thinks it's more likely that its Windows 2003 rather than XP or Vista. Although many XP drivers happily install on 2003. I'll keep an eye out for any updates. :-)

LEt me know when you have the 64 bit AMD utility working. I'd love to check it out

You are correct even as the installer reports errors the OS is accepting the driver. The driver is responding correctly.
So the text should be XP and Vista require 64 bit drivers and are not supported at the moment.

Hi Fred,

Any chance you'd be willing to donate the code to BOINC? It'd be nice to have this in the BOINC client, even if it won't work on every platform.

Contacted David a couple of times before I started this. He said this is way to complicated.. So I did it anyway, a programmer works better with a bit of a challenge. But when we are ready sure. I have good hopes of getting the AMD working as well.

I made some changes in the code for AMD and it should give some data now. If you want to try. V 1.4.3. It should give some more relevant information.

Always with him it cannot be done.

I sometimes do it anyway, too. :)

Core Temp v.99.4(64-bit) is just one of programs I use when comparing temps, it has a register dump option as well.

If you want I will PM you a dump for 64 bit research, But I suspect that it crashes my onboard video so it only gets used for comparisons. Speedfan v4.37 works for me but does support my chipset(790GX) for advanced functions.

I have a couple others as well not worth mentioning.

A new version for the 0F Family and for some reasons this is the version all the testers have.
Fixed the Family 0F problems got the wrong location, misread the datasheet. This is the EXE only.
Download zip
You need to run the setup program from V 1.43 first if you didn't already to install the driver. (The testers that reported to me don't have to do this)

If not also the temperature measurements, just supporting the fine-grained application throttling directly from the client would be excellent.
