Due to various bugs on the scheduler/client side of things some users have been getting far too much work to do. This results in excess workunit downloads which eats up our bandwidth and makes it generally difficult for anything to happen, then queues start backing up, etc. The scheduler fix has already been employed late last week, a client bug-fix is in the works.

I have little to do with the above, and the problems should clear up on their own once traffic settles down. Today has been a catch-up-on-mundane-sys-admin tasks kind of day for me, which is fine once in a while.

Don’t deride the mundane tasks: properly considered they can have a Zen-like effect of clearing the mind. (Wax on, wax off. . .)

And thanks for the update. :o)

Right now with all the new and upcoming app releases MB, AP, CUDA, nonCUDA, optimized or not there is a big need to shift through our tasks pages to find client/computation errors. That means used bandwith for seti servers and several queries to the database (I guess for every tasks page we view, there is a new query?).

I think it would be good to have another link in our account page that will show us only those tasks with client/computaton errors or those tasks that for whatever reason gave zero credit. Would that be an easy one to implement?
