I love to take pictures of nature. I've always felt like I was cheating though, because nature is soooo beautiful in and of itself.

Yes. That is true. But we do not clone the "nature" when taking a
photo.. ;-) What we do is to try to catch our own perception of it.
Thats not cheating. That is very honest. ;-)

btw.. thanx for the butterflies.
I think you are the blue one. ;-D

I prefer the idea that what is happening in a picture is We're capturing a window in time of a moment.

Another good point, SJ.

It's been a long while since I saw the moon!

How are you?

Andy.. ;-) Its a long time since I saw you too.. But maybe all
we need is new glasses..? ;-)) Im fine, as I mostly am..thanx. Im
more worried about you, knowing you have had more snow over there
this winter than you have seen in many years.. But on the other hand
ita an exellent excuse for staying home when ever possible, to
fire up in the oven, make hot chocolate and read good books ;-)
So... how are you?? hehe..

A very delayed response...

I'm good thanks. I have had a new heating system fitted now and it copes much better with the colder weather, although hopefully Winter is on the way out now and we've started getting nice days.

I am trying to plan a trip the US at the moment, which always makes me feel good :)

Spring !!! ;-)

Beautiful flowers! It will be another month until the first Daffodils poke out of the ground here. There is a still a lot of snow on the ground. Snow can be beautiful, but monochromatic. I long for a bit of color on the pallet now. Thanks for the glimpse of thing to come.

Thanx Moon, you always have the right words.

You're welcome, for the butterflies. 'Blue' is my favorite color.

I should send you a blue flower then.. ;-)
Maybe another day.. when you least expect it. ;-D

Yes SJ, thats also true. So then we have a real expression of what a
photo is; Its a humans perseption of what catched its eyes in a moment in time. ;-)

Great!

glad you found your way..
Ja.. flowers are beautiful.. and I find it very interesting to
see the special beauty in each and one of them... they can be
very different.. ;-) And I agree with you.. Snow is also nice, but
after a while we need something more than the plain white all over ;-)

You`re welcome Wes..

Now.. the final countdown.

Uli, klc53, Mike, Wes, Richard..
Thank you very much for your thoughts.
Its appreciated..

funeral is on friday..

Just want to tell you...
I and my kids arrived about 1.30 pm last
friday.. and both my sons desided to go
in and see him again, though they both
had got to know he didnt look good, and was
in a very bad state. They both held his hand,
and said hello and goodbye to him.. After that they
went off with my sisters husband, whilst I and
my sister staid. We were there until about 8 pm.
(he passed away about 23.40)
He has always loved singing, and I asked my sister
if we maybe should sing something for him. So we
started out..and in the end we had been singing
21 songs... hymnes, folksongs, gospel, and different
other stuff. The last one was; We are Champions! ;-))
Many people will probably say its kind of strange to sing
such a song in such an event.. But I think it was just the right one,
as that is how we all will remember him; Fighting until the end - being
a real Champion. ;-) He became 99 years and 10 months
- exactly.

A big Hurray for my Wonderful Grandfather! ;-D

Singing is food for the soul. Now more than ever, is the time for singing. I sang at my sister's bedside, she passed recently.

THIS ONE IS FOR YOUR LOVED ONE.
