Is there anyone around here who knows something about tape-computerfile-converters? ;p
I would like a tip on evt. what program to download, and how to
connect the tape player to the comp.. How does it all work.. ?

I found an old tape where i have recorded when playing and singing.. lol... organ/keyboard, piano, guitar..
Its quite amusing to hear it
again.. ;-) On some of the tracks also my sister is playing and singing along. It would have been great to
manage to get it all into computer, and share it with her. And for that sake, store it for later when we
are both old and grey. ;-))

(im on it already.. that old and grey-stuff.. pP ;-)

Im also kind of worried that it might show up more of the same sort If both
me and she is looking around amongst hidden-away-tapes.

Hei Pellinore and BW ;-) Seems like youre both
well and happy. Thats great!!

Just to tell; I was able to dowload a program and record
some of the songs into the computer.. but i had to do it
directly through microphone, as i couldnt find a suitable
cable. hehehe.. I made a web-site and put links to the
files there.. and Ive sent my sister the adress for that site..
she is now very determined getting onto a computer to be able to
listen to it. LoL.

Right..No links from my main site.. so you will not
find it.. You should in fact be very happy for that. ;-))

Not much really: a good new is an interesting course of creative writings I'm involved in, 'till June. I'm happy to be part of it: If one day I'll fell the need to write something "massive" like novel, romance or something like this, I should be able to do it. Maybe ;-)

Obviously, I think I really need an English training instead :-D

I've just bought a thing called Doctor Sound, Made in China, which plays cassette tapes, 78,45,33 1/3 vinyl disks, CD's and has an USB port in which you can insert a memory stick. Then you put the memory stick in an USB port of your computer and record it. Or you can put an MP3 player in the USB port and play it directly. It cost me 150 euros by mail but you can buy it in a store for about 100 euros.

My wife was a professional singer. She has thousands of casset recordings of various gigs. I put a plusDeck 2c in her computer. She can now listen and convert her cassets to mp3's. One thing you will need a db9 Serial Port on your motherboard. Many newer motherboards don't have them anymore. You can also get a converter cable to be able to use a USB port.

Andy.. ;-) Its a long time since I saw you too.. But maybe all
we need is new glasses..? ;-)) Im fine, as I mostly am..thanx. Im
more worried about you, knowing you have had more snow over there
this winter than you have seen in many years.. But on the other hand
ita an exellent excuse for staying home when ever possible, to
fire up in the oven, make hot chocolate and read good books ;-)
So... how are you?? hehe..

@ tullio and Carlos

Thanx for the ideas.. It surely seems interesting, and I will
look more into that type of players, to see if I can eventually
find one a bit less expensive. After all I do have some normal
music-tapes I would like to get over on cd too..
But in this spesific case, with my own recorded crap, I didnt
think I should use any money on it.. ;-) But who knows, It
might sound better in that way.. that would have been nice. lol

Anyway..I need to get it recorded again one way or another,
to eliminate the double "through-air-noices" a little bit at least.

Thanx again for your imputs! I might end up with one of those
thingies one day ;-)

I love to take pictures of nature. I've always felt like I was cheating though, because nature is soooo beautiful in and of itself.

Yes. That is true. But we do not clone the "nature" when taking a
photo.. ;-) What we do is to try to catch our own perseption of it.
Thats not cheating. That is very honest. ;-)

btw.. thanx for the butterflies.
I think you are the blue one. ;-D

Thanx Moon, you always have the right words.

You're welcome, for the butterflies. 'Blue' is my favorite color.
