Wow, what a finish! Boo hoo Kurt Warner. #92 of the Steelers wins the Clown of the Day award for his personal foul of punching a down Cardinal. me@rescam.org |

I was hoping that last play would be ruled an incomplete pass. More exciting to end the game with a hail mary than with a kneel down. me@rescam.org |

First I have to say the Cards played a great game. Warner put up stats, many record setting. He's a great QB. He's had a great career. If he doesn't get into the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibilty, it would just be wrong. I thought perhaps someone out there in cruncher world would like to check out the front page of one of Pittsburgh's papers. This is the Valley News /Pittsburgh Tribune. |

For those that bet the line (7 pts) on the Cardinals they still win the dough. :) Yeah, but I would have only backed out using a technicality had they been tied after four quarters. (In that event, I’d have given $10 to each charity.) :oP Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

It was a lot closer than the pundits would have me believe. I don’t know anything about NFL and didn’t watch the game, but did check online from time to time. A couple minutes before the end, I thought that my little birds might pull it out. But either way, it is good to see a "relatively" small market team make it to the top. In other sports news: Vancouver Canucks and Toronto Blue Jays all the way in ’09! Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

Actually, like golf, curling is a Scottish game, tho Canadians tend to be pretty good at it. (Long cold winters. Besides making babies what else are we supposed to do? LOL) But yeah, it is promoted and watched on TV. Actually interesting, in the same way that chess and baseball are interesting: only if you appreciate the strategy of the game. (All three of which I am a fan of, btw.) Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

I watched curling when it first was shown on the winter Olympics several years back. I believe they are A terminate called A bonspiel for curling? LETS BEGIN IN 2010 |

Traditionally, Bonspiel refers to an outdoor curling match. Usually with money on the line. Now-a-days, Bonspiel is used to refer to any important curling match. Welcome to Wiki! In Canada, the Briar (men) and the Tournament of Hearts (women) are the only things that really matter. The Worlds are second and the Olympics a very distant third. For the Worlds and Olympics it is usually the Scots, Swedes, Norwegians and Canadians fighting it out and the rest of the planet (including the Americans) are in the general category of ‘special Olympic, also ranâ€Â. I get that this is not terribly important to most Americans, but, hey, now you know what the rest of the world thinks of the NFL. If you happen to live in Europe, Africa or South America, the football (soccer) is the thing. If in Nordic countries (like Canada) then hockey and curling. If in the US, then you are sadly limited to the grunt and grind of NFL. S’all good. ;o) Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

Well You have forgotten the National pastime here in the US: Baseball, Even Japan plays the game, Also these countries play too: Canada, Mexico, and Australia and and 81 other countries or 86 total. :) Actually, I love baseball. More than curling or hockey. As some around here already know. LOL. Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

Tradition says that it was first played in Cooperstown NY (of course) but there is evidence to support the idea that the first game of what could be called Baseball was actually played in Montreal.
