Oh how cruel Mother Nature can be. We had 2 or 3 days of fine weather in the 50's. A sure sign that spring was on the way. I woke this morning to find 4 inches of new snow on the stoop and it continued to snow all day long adding an additional 4 inches. It seems that Old Man Winter is determined that he's not going down without a fight. |

About 99% of our snow is gone, and the forecast is for maple syrup weather for a few days: just below freezing at night, just above freezing during the day. Heavy rain due today, then some good days - just in time for a road trip later this week to visit a client. Observed at: London Int'l Airport Date: 8:00 AM EDT Tuesday 10 March 2009 Condition: Cloudy Pressure: 102.2 kPa Tendency: falling Visibility: 13 km Temperature: -0.5°C Dewpoint: -2.1°C Humidity: 89 % Wind: E 17 km/h Wind Chill: -6 And the word from the Man about the rain: Rainfall warning for London - Parkhill - Eastern Middlesex County issued Significant rainfall beginning this morning and into overnight. An intense Colorado low pressure system will strengthen as it sweeps across the Great Lakes late this evening and moves through central and northeastern Ontario by Wednesday morning. This system will bring periods of rain at times heavy to the above warned regions beginning this morning. Rainfall amounts are expected to increase during overnight hours as a warm front associated with the system approaches. In general a total rainfall amount of 25 to 35 millimetres are expected with the system before changing over to isolated flurries Wednesday morning. |
