As the saying goes... March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Well it certainly came into NH like a lion this year. I woke to find 12 inches of fluffy snow on my doorstep this morning that wasn't there yesterday. And it's still coming down. Its 21°F right now and windy.

If you really get our weather a day or 2 later KLC53, you won't like this.

Our local TV weather guy just said it will be a very late spring here, with frost and snow possible to the end of April. Thats 60 days from now.

Actually, I don't think it's that long. I believe what you have hits us within 24 hrs, but I could be wrong. And you said something about snow 'til the end of April. I will refuse delivery!

27°F in NH right now. Its sunny, calm, and the snow on the front lawn is about 2.5 feet deep. Its hard to believe that Spring is only 16 days away! UTC time for the Spring Equinoxe is 11:44 on March 20. That's 7:44 in the morning around these parts.

Looks like another busy night in store for us.

This must be what they call job security.
So much for the additional 1/2 million dollars the city council approved toward snow removal this year.

Snow level here remains about a gazillion feet below sea level. Big bare patches of lawn and road starting to appear, as it warms up. Should go up to +5C today, and they're calling for rain on the weekend, back to the flooding.

Interesting local story on flooding in the paper here. There is a dike system near downtown, built after the big floods here in the 1920s, designed for a "50 year flood". The river went over the dikes twice between 1930 and 2000, and 3 times in the last 18 months.

So much for the idea of the 50 year flood, It's dead now I gather. Hopefully You weren't affected back then.
