Yikes...those temps are insane. The hottest I have seen here in my corner of Ca have been 113 F for two weeks. Now a nice cool 16 C in the house. Sorry about the two different temp posts, but I am too tired to convert the first one, the second one I know by heart.

113 f = 45 C
16 C = 60.8 F

Thanks for the conversion help, this sounds about right.

Temperature scale conversion, for those who are interested:

Fahrenheit to Celcius

Subtract 32 Divide by 9 and multiply by 5

Thus: for 32 F 32-32/9 * 5 = 0/9 * 5 = 0

and for 212 F 212-32/9 * 5 = 100

In reverse (C to F): divide by 5, multiply by nine and add 32

Thus: for 20C 20/5 * 9 + 32 = 68 F

45C 45/5 * 9 + 32 = 113 F

@ uli: 113F = 45C (freaking hot!!!)

In Vancouver:

Temperature: 2C
Humidity 93%
Winds: N @ 5 kph
Barometer: 1022 mb

{edit} littlegreeguy beat me to it. ;o) [/edit]

It's been 115F(about 46C) here two summers ago. :D

Hmmm, let’s see, 115F plus heat from Q-Baby = 1 cooked rabbit. ;o)

Well the 46C was outside, Not inside, Inside It was much cooler at around 88F(31C) thanks to the swamp cooler here. :D

My sympathies, I have two fans, a swamp cooler(sealed up for the winter currently) and an A/C unit which has never worked as I didn't have money to make It workable or to use It for that matter(expensive to run, Good for humid days though).

Yay, we have started the day off to sunshine and a little bit of warmth - hopefully enough to clear some of this snow - and at least put the roads here back into a state where they can be driven on. At the moment, with last nights ice I couldn't even walk down them!

Interesting local bit of language usage going on here. The papers and TV are calling our present weather "the latest January thaw in several years". To everybody else it seems to make perfect sense, but I find it a bit amusing.

Currently 1C, light NW breeze.

Snow cover persisting, plenty of ice around, but hopefully tomorrow's warmth will finish it off!
