Ok my boinc client is now processing CUDA WU's but there is no graphics...

The CUDA application doesn't have graphics or a screen saver yet.

and when there is graphics... there is a multi-colour haze. Anyone experiencing this? If so has anyone notified the proper authorities?

I did notify the developers about it a couple of days back. yesterday I finally managed to get a screen grab from someone showing the exact effect and sent that one to them. I don't expect an answer from them on this until well into Monday (what with where they all are throughout the USA and when they work in these days near the end of the year).

Next question now is seems all the BOINC Client wants to run astropulse WU"s.

3 astropulses and supposedly one CUDA. Wow there seems to be alot of issues with this new application. grrrr. I am glad we are able alpha test this new one. And yes I said "alpha" test as opposed to beta test.Any reason it wants to to process astropulses? How do I know this is actually using my GPU? How can I find out how long it is taking for the GPU to process the WU's. Really honestly I cant even tell whether this new BOINC Client is doing what it is suppose to be doing.

Also as a follow up I am also experiencing this multi-colored haze on other video players. So this may be a cause the NiVidia driver update for this not necessarily The BOINC Client software. I am still experiencing this effect when boinc client isnt running ....Cheers

When it processes a CUDA task, it'll show in BOINC Manager->Advanced view->Tasks that it runs on 0.04 CPU + CUDA.

You can only crunch AP next to a CUDA. It is at present not yet possible to simultaneously do and Seti Enhanced Multibeam on the CPU and Seti Enhanced Multibeam on the GPU. As per the CUDA FAQ:

Q) Does SETI@home run GPU and CPU versions simultaneously?

No. If BOINC determines your CPU is capable of running the CUDA version, only the CUDA version of SETI@home will run. One copy will run on each GPU you have installed. If you want to keep your CPUs occupied at the same time, you can join another BOINC project.

The BOINC developers expect the capability to run CPU and GPU jobs simultaneously for the same application will be added in the next couple months.
