Demoting Vista x64 to 32-bit is rather drastic.

This is a S@H-issue, as several weeks of GPUGrid-chrunching did not produce any problems at all. It was very stable - no babysitting necessary.

What could shed proper light on the cause is to run a debug-version of the cuda-app...

What do you mean under "debugging version" ?
Do you want pdb-file to run under debugger?

Message 857814 - Posted: 25 Jan 2009, 22:33:25 UTC - in response to Message 857727.

If the cuda-executable is compiled with debugging flag set on, it could log debug-information to file for further analysis.

Or is there a way to activate verbose/debug logging (eg /d or /v)?

AFAIK no useful debug info provied, but you can try -verbose switch...
And try to reproduce hang in standalone run.

Raistmer i have a very odd problem with my system and your package.

from time to time the cuda mb wu stop working at diferent % (it hangs). if i suspend that task let it begin crunching another cuda wu and then resume the hanged task it continues without any other erorrr. the tasks are getting validated and i recieve credits for them.

is there a solution or do i need to babysitt that sytem continuosly

Hm... Interesting, I recived some reports like yours already. But still can't reproduce this behavior on my hardware.
Could you post OS you used, link on affected host on SETI site, link on affected results. In short - I need more info about your setup to try give some more or less constructive answer.
