Message 853744 - Posted: 15 Jan 2009, 11:41:03 UTC - in response to Message 853734.

Please, follow these rules when report new bugs:

1)Post only "invalid" overflows - that is - CPU wingmate has no overflow, but CUDA has overflow.
2) Don' post any problems that appeared after driver crash/restart.
We already know that this is "bug-full" situation.

These simple rules will save our time and speedup bug analysis.

Ok, I only reported them becuase normally I would have aborted them.

No, all that proves is that Raistmer put an <app_version> 607 tag into that package - and he probably knows that already. You'll be getting the same tasks as everybody else, even the CPU-only hosts.

The actual v6.07 application (which Raistmer's package is closely related to) is being officially tested at SETI Beta, but hasn't been transferred here yet.

[Raistmer is away for a few days, so the rest of us will have to muddle through as best we can with answers like this].

Thanks Richard I guess I didn't make myself clear. Up to this morning all I had been getting were marked as 606. I just wanted him to know they are now coming through marked as 607.

Nooooooooooo, you can't leave! What if I screw everything up again? :) Only joking, have a nice trip.

One question before you go though, I pulled the MB_REV400 out when I put this new build in. Is this ok or should I put it back in?

Answered on Lunatics.
You just install new package as before, as you could do from first version. Only BOINC restart is needed, no cache dry, no OS reboot, no PC exchange ;)

Thanks Raistmer...............

The stuttering and pause seems to be gone from Windows after upgrading to this version. Have a safe trip!

But my wingman had a overflow wingman, but I calculated normally

Ok, just an update. I finished my first VLAR (0.123395) using Raistmer's V-6 package. It started at 13:56 and ended at 16:26. 2.5 hours almost exactly. The tasks page shows 346.90 seconds. My wingman showed 7,493.92 seconds for his. I claimed 80.53 credits he claimed 69.08. Both validated, credit issued 69.08 still not bad for only 2.5 hours.

For those that haven't been paying attention, I'm running a Celeron C2D with a GeForce 8500GT graphics card.

Has anybody got in APs? I haven't so started rosetta on both cores of my PD, it looked like it slowed the Cuda down, so put in preferences at rosetta to only use one core. Now i have system idle about 30% 1 core runs at 50% I don't mind sence rosetta doesn't pay well.I wish there were some APs to had, then I'd run the card on my quad.

Sorry. My P4 nabbed them all.

[Actually, that was a joke - but now I think about it, I wonder how many other crunchers got an absurdly large allocation around that time?]

For getting the activation mail, try turning off the spam protection in you mail options. For me had worked!

Because you recently had a VLAR task, (Very Low Angle Range 0.1 angle range and below) if you haven't already, reboot your pc.

You mentioned earlier you had the lastest drivers. Which ones?

That's the problem then, CUDA mod app won't work for any drivers under 180.48 and it's not likely you'll be able to get assigned work without the mod app. You might get lucky after the reboot, but it was posted earlier about the need for the driver version or higher.
