Today I processed 11 tasks... I reached for the server and I was persistently clicking "Update" whenever I got No Work Sent for 5 minutes. My persistence paid off and eventually I received 25 tasks. I'd call that sustainable :D My German Heritage of persistence and stubbornness is paying off... :) - Luke. |

It's the same with one of my Quads, too. Fortunately I have some WUs still in the queue, but I had to attach another machine to malaria control as it got no S@H work at all. ;o( |

I'd call that sustainable :D Meanwhile, your persistence and stubbornness is causing everyone else to be DoS'd to the point that they can't get any work either. I don't mean to be rude, but its awful selfish of you to do that to everyone else, and the problem would only get worse if you suggest that everyone else do it too. |

I'd call that sustainable :D I'm not offended at all. I just want to bring some light onto your actions that you've said a few different times now, lest your success suggest that everyone else do the same, which would be terrible for the project and all the other volunteers. |

I'd call that sustainable :D Just keep in mind that there are is a finite number of incoming requests that the servers can handle, and each time you click "update" you use one of them. If enough people hammer the "update" button (and the servers) then no one will get through. |

Happily I still have enough WU's in stock so the computer is still on full speed, but now I also experience the crisis: there are no new WU's coming in anymore. I still can continues for about 2 days or so and then it is over. But since it is holiday I can use the computer for other things, still need to finish a video which is also consuming a lot of processor capacity. Also it is a nice time to rebuild the computer, get rid of all the old stuff and start fresh in the New Year. For all of you: A Merry Christmas and a Happy New year (hopefully with new WU's) ______ DeMus ![]() |

Hi crunchers, getting work appears to be difficult, nothing odd to see at the SERVER PAGE. Yesterday, I ran dry on all hosts and started doing EINSTEIN, have some work now and made a third host ready for crunching AP . It doesn't even matter what amount of cache is set. Hope it will 'stabelize before X'mas '. Wish all of you happy X'Mas. ![]() |

Seems the issue has been resolved. All my rigs are presently downloading tons of work unit and refilling the cache. MERRY CHRISTMAS to every one.... ______________ ![]() ![]() |

Ho boy.... Somebody else is gonna have to chime in on this one..... Newer Boinc client than I am familiar with.... Cuda could be a factor... Running 3 other projects... CPD has notoriously long WUs... Other than that, no obvious problems are evident that I can see.... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster ![]() |
