Probably, not exactly the topic, but my PC running low on work, too.

Currently, my Quad processing only 1 AP unit. Could be doing additional two AP and numerous MB CUDA tasks at same time, one by one, but no. I guess, BOINC thinks that it wouldn't finish in time as for the AP task time to completition is 1856 hours and running high priority. So it didn't ask for more work even after I set additional work for 1 + 1 days. Setting additional work more too scary.

Those two are usually disabled, and we can get by without them.

I think the fly in the ointment is

Workunits waiting for assimilation 118,190

That's a big backlog, and it may be preventing them freeing up enough space for new work to be created in.

At this time (5:30+ PM PST), I get Error 403 when trying to download new work or upload completed work, both on main (Seti@home project) and Beta (seti@home Beta Project).

Just a guess that Error 403 means there's a communication problem (Again!) in/out of Berzerkeley SSL. However the GigabyteEthernet2_3 link looks to be up:
http://fragment1.berkeley.edu/newcricket/grapher.cgi?target=%2Frouter-interfaces%2Finr-250%2Fgigabitethernet2_3;view=Octets

Somebody please go kick the sleeping comm link/server

SETI work as been low, most of my computers are set to SETI/Einstein and my Einstein credits has taken a jump in stats the last few days. Some of my PC's are getting 0 new SETI tasks when I went to check on the reason.

Satan, if your lucky try manually hitting the update button until you get more work... yesterday I processed 21 tasks and I received 26 last night.

Not the best... but... for me it's sustainable...
And the servers are still clogged...

Luke.

EDIT: Just received 4 more tasks with the same method - That's 2 hours of crunching for me.

Luke will stick to climate, get these units crunched and finished. It'll take about 20 days, So hopefully by then things will have calmed down and stabilised here.

I just read the problems you guys (and maybe also girls) have for not getting any new WU's. Maybe strange to say this but I still have a cache of 3 days here and I do get new WU's on a regular basis, as you all can see.

So you understand my question: what are you all talking about? Am I in a privileged situation for getting all the work I need, or what is happening here?
Some time ago I set my preferences to keep the cache at 3 days and it just does that.
Hope for the rest of you that these problems will be over soon.

Happy Holidays.
