Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 55. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 6 mph.

Tuesday Night: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Southwest wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Special weather statement:
THE VERY LOW SNOW LEVELS ON WEDNESDAY WILL BRING THE THREAT OF SNOW SHOWERS... WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR SNOW LEVELS FALLING LOCALLY TO 1500 FEET ON WEDNESDAY...THERE IS EVEN THE POSSIBILITY OF BRIEF SNOW SHOWERS IN THE FOOTHILLS OF THE LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTY VALLEYS... AS WELL AS THE SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS.

Just may get to see what snow looks like on a palm tree! :) In case you wonder I don't know the last time it snowed in Los Angeles. Sunny Southern California indeed.

We have palm trees outside the park, Next time It snows and the snow sticks I'll take a photo of It provided I still live in the park by then. :D Of course that forecast of Yours is for LA and Ventura counties and of course I live in San Bernardino county.

Depends on where in L.A. you're talking about.

Snow in the mountains surrounding the L.A. Basin isn't at all uncommon, and we've certainly got some right now. Many of those are near 5,000 feet, and if the snow level gets down to 1,500 there could be snow on Mt. Lee -- just above the "Hollywood" sign.

Just came out of a -30C weekend. Not bad with calm winds.
Yesterday was -24 with a windchill making it feel like -38 to -40C.
Today is a balmy -13C.
