Ok, the pc is visible now, once the tasks have been reported if there are any errors, we can try and determine why.

That setting is cached here on Seti. It may take a while for you to see the change.

I've set my Vista machine to "work" and I believe I've unhidden my hosts to allow for error retrieval. I will fight through the remainder of the AP tasks on Vista... Hopefully you can find out why its crashing my computer...

Still shows as hidden. You may have to do it again. Please confirm you've clicked the "update preference" button after you've changed the setting.

Astropulse runs great on my XP machine but crashes my Vista machine. How do I allow XP to run Astropulse and prohibit it on Vista from the same IP?

If you'd like to be able to run AP on the XP pc and not the Vista set the two pc's in different location such as "work" for the Vista, and the XP pc that you'll allow AP on to "home". Then adjust the different settings regarding AP for the locations of the pc's through your SETI@home preferences

Make sure to uncheck Astropulse and adjust the setting "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" to no for the Vista pc.

To adjust the location of the two pc's from your Account page go to Computers on this account page, then click on the Computer ID # of the computer you want to change, and look on the bottom of the page. You'll see the drop down menu that changes it.

If you'd like someone to look at the tasks on the Vista pc in an attempt to try and figure out why it's not completing the AP tasks, you would have to un-hide your pc's or provide a link to some of the error tasks.
