Boinc has its own website and it own forum to discuss Boinc related problems. Everyone is welcomed to open an account and post there. Boinc is open source which means anyone is free to use it and to start a project with it. No money exchanges hand nor should it.

I'm don't remember what help links were available in past Boinc manager, but the Help menu for the one I am testing contains links to the Boinc Skype help lines for personalized assistance either voice or text in many languages, a page to explain the various menus and tabs, and one that takes you to the Boinc website main page which has a link to Boinc's Message boards among other things Boinc related.

Projects are free to add whatever links they want to show when their project is selected in the Boinc manager.

Seti is an independent project just like the other projects. It does have the largest user group so it is normal that many Boinc related problem are also discussed here.

The SETI forum has always been the source of choice for information / solutions respecting BOINC problems. That, however, is not how things should be IMHO. It is my honest and firm opinion that said resource enjoyed on this board should be shared by ALL projects across boards.

ANY project desiring to be part of the BOINC phenomenon should be required to kick in X # of semollians to be part of the O/S related BOINC problems solutions page. NONE of their servers should have to deal with BOINC related issues. ALL projects should be intimately aware - real-time - what BOINC issue might there be (as if).

There should be a button on each and every project GUI that states "HELP" and takes each and every project-member to the very same web-site (having he very same forums as are enjoyed here). BOINC help should be a BOINC thing, not pidgeon-holed to some arbitrary SETI project.

That's what I think.

The way I see things at present, if there be problems with BOINC - as if - then one is at the mercy of the help forums particular to the specific project(s) one is participating in. As such, that being ssid, it should become apparent that there's no collaboration, sharing, or real-time dissemination of information germane and relevant to the BOINC platform betwixt the multitude of BOINC projects. That's just bad, m'kay?

I mean that very nicely by the way.
