Just had a look at my log- 2 stalled downloads, for about an hour or so now.

One has downloaded OK, the other is still stalled. Times out after a second or less.

Something's broken.
Getting "No work from project messages" & the occaisional ":couldn't connect to server".
Outbound traffic is (relatively) light, but there's heaps of inbound.

I too had this around 30 minutes before the last message was posted, then I got two downloads.

No, there's not a whole load of short work at the moment - this time, the servers (or the relevant bit of the relevant server) seems to be genuinely down.

The only way your timing is out is that it's currently 4 am in Berkeley, and Matt should be tucked up in bed without his kicking boots on.

[venting]Why does this system fail so often? I would have thought that after the weekly colonic each Tuesday, the system would be at its peak. Nope. Nothing but eratic connection success, leading to unwanted back-up project downloads replacing the seti downloads.[/venting]

Last night around 9 PM MST, the whole website was unavailable, I am guessing that something that directs traffic for the site went down.

Same deal here - just tried my daily morning upload/download and was able to upload results, but couldn't report them or download new work units.

Not that I'm panicking or anything - I still have plenty of work to do. If I really needed to, I could slow things down by crunching Astropulse units on all four cores instead of just two - Cruiser has 11 Astropulse units in its queues waiting, in addition to the two in progress.
