The Warmth Those who don't know sometimes can't understand the warmth of a kitty paw laid down soft in your hand. And the look of those eyes when they meet up with yours that suddenly chases away all of life's little chores. The joy to your life only a kitten can bring is so hard to explain for such a big thing. Your heart it just melts and the world fades away.... Your hearts are as one for that moment they stay. And just for that moment, your heart is at peace.... Nothing else matters, no harm can you meet. Just you and your kitty.....that's all that exists. And just for a moment, you cannot resist. If you are the few who have not had the chance to let your soul sing with a kitten and do the cat dance.... Trust me, you will never turn back once you do... There is something 'bout kitties that grabs hold of you. So go to the shelter, and find yourself one.... They are there by the dozens...just awaiting a home. And yours they shall make it.... The physical things that let us survive, the toys and the trinkets that keep joy alive. But mostly, my friends....I would like to thank you. It's people, you see, and the things that they do that mean most in life, for when none else remains... Without you, my friends, things could not be the same. So I thank my dear God for the things he has sent me. And then thank Him again so I am sure that he can see That I truly am thankful for my life which He's given And the shape that I'm in, and the life I am living. My home and my hobbies, my job and my cats... How much more could a man ask but to have all of that? Rich I am not, at least not at the bank, But I've many friends here who I wish to all thank. So this Thanksgiving day, let me say this to you... God Bless you and keep you all the coming year thru. I hope that next Thanksgiving will still find us all here. So that we all may give thanks for another great year. My Squirrel kitty is getting old. She is doing things now that are a bit off..... Litter box usage is a tad different.....if at all. But. by God.....she still just wants to cuddle up with me on the couch.....but she still grooms herself....... And those big eyes.......I hope the day I have to say goodbye to them is still years off........I could not bear it now. Not possibly. Lord.......My eyes have welled up, and my throat is closed..... She's getting used to Me picking Her up and taking Her to the edge of the sink, Stroking Her fur and speaking softly all the while of course as It seems to calm Her. It was mostly IAMs dry food and some gray stuff. On a whim, I bought my kitties a bag of IAMS the other day........ And they 'bout tore open the bag trying to get to it.......must smell really good....... And I usually give them a half a bowl of each flavor......guess which half was empty first?
