Another kitty poem......let's see where this one takes me.........

A kitty's paw........


My kitty extends now her paw soft to me.
A heart that's extended and a little soft plea.....
Her claws, though sharp and pointed
are withdrawn within their sheath.

For kitty's not attacking,
she just wants to share
her love for me sitting and waiting
for me to take up and pet her
and love her kitty adoration which she shares.

She sits by my side and she purrs all the time
even though I seem busy typing posts which don't rhyme
all the time.

But she purrs all the same, 'cuz she knows who she loves
and I know that she's right......
She will wait there all night
for a cuddle and chuck under the chin just from me
for that's all that a kitty sometimes needs to see
to know they are loved, and that's all kitties need.
To have a home and a safe place and to have no real needs.

So for Squirrel, and Tigger II and Bandit and Purrball,
and all of the other beloved little furrballs,
I give you my love, with no limits nor bounds.
For in loving my kitties, myself I have found.

They live just to trust you, and sometimes to cuddle
and they make it quite clear when you at times are befuddled
that you are the only thing that there is in their lives
that matters to them......
I have run out of rhymes.

I hope that you all understand me at times,
and inbetween them, you'll forgive my poor rhymes.

It's the sentiment I go for, not the rhyme nor the meter,
I am not a great poet, just a bang 'round word beater...
If I've expressed my heart, then I have succeeded and then
if not, I guess I shall have to try once again.

Dog risks life for kittens
A dog has risked its life to protect four kittens trapped in a house fire in Melbourne, Australia.

Firefighters found Leo guarding the kittens which were in a cardboard box in one of the bedrooms.

When the fire broke out inside the house, the family of four plus their other dog managed to escape.

However Leo paid the price for his bravery. He succumbed to the smoke and heat.

Firefighters rushed the dog to safety and revived the unconscious Leo with a heart massage and oxygen.

I just got this from a friend.

My Day...

I didn't want to get out of bed this morning

I woke up with stiff neck

I washed my hair but couldn't do a thing with it

Made breakfast for the cranky youngsters

and fed the baby a bottle

She dribbled milk all over herself and my new blouse

I loaded up the kids in the carseat and took them to daycare & school

I was late for work, and traffic was a nightmare

My husband called my cell phone to tell me he got laid off from his construction job

I got to the office (I'm a Tech Analyst)

My supervisor chewed me out

for misplacing the mouse

I went out for lunch and got caught in the rain

I left work early to pick up my new eye glasses (wrong size)

I then picked up the kids from school & daycare

Fed them all a quick meal

Drove the boys to karate lessons

And, then the girls to tap & ballet

When we got back home, all they wanted to do was watch TV


and, sing karaoke instead of doing their homework

After much chaos, they took their baths & got ready for bed

And after much hounding, they brushed their teeth

Then I read them their nightly bedtime stories

They finally went to sleep

All of this daily stress is causing me to gain weight

So, I tried doing some aerobics in the living room

Uh oh, I don't think all the 'fast-food' and exercise is agreeing with me

Now, I think I'm getting a migraine

and, a runny nose

I'm pretty certain it's the flu

After a long and grueling day, I crawled into bed and was just drifting off when

I realized I had forgotten something

Dear Lord, despite the topsy-turvy day I've had, I give thanks to you

and for all the blessings you've bestowed upon me and my family.

And next week, I'm off to the spa and pool for some much-needed rest and relaxation with my girlfriend


That's how MY life is going......so, how are things with YOU?

The time has come, to talk of many things,
Of songs and prayers and of souls to heal, and wings......

You know that once in a while I get a kitty jones on, and I never know where it will take me.......usually to a sad place....from which the kitties always retrieve me........

Well, let's have a go at it........



The kittie's day....

My day today was not the best,
he had to work to support the nest,
Left us here to sleep all day
so he could work to support our way.

I'd rather Dad could just stay and pet us,
rather than toil to earn enough ta'
keep us in kibble and in lovin'
though we're sure his love would be enough ta'

Keep us in our kitty kibble quite safe and secure,
and you know if his food ran out, our kibble would
be here for sure.

For the kittyman loves his kittens above nobody else.
They are his children, his beloved, and no matter
'bout the house.......
It's heart and soul that matters,
and we know where we stand......
He'll let nothing come before us....
No matter what's at hand.

So please forgive our master (we let them think he is)
and tell him he's a kind old soul for no matter how he lives....
He's the kittyman and we are grateful to have him as our guest.
(He'd like to think he owns this place, but we know what is best).

For those of you who do not ensue placing kitties in your home,
us feline types will try to forgive your feelings gone awrong......
Please listen to our 'master' and we use the term quite loose.
Give our brothers and sisters a home and we won't give you the noose.



Oops.......that's what I get when I let the kitty paws play with the keyboard......
Hope that the kitties have not gone quite overboard......
We love you all dearly, and you are all quite forgiven
