Morning Kitty Lovers.

Chucky & Tiffany were giving me a hard time this morning while I was trying to get into their room to feed them - you know, grabbing my feet, trying to trip me and break my neck, that sort of thing. Both of them walked to the car flap and started head butting it, which was when I realised it had frozen shut. They actually had me on my hands and knees, in a dressing gown, outdoors in sub sero temperatures deicing their cat flap!

They control me :(

The kittyman he sits here deep in his thoughts.....
He ponders, he sits, and he muses.....
'Bout jousting at things with which he knows that he has
little control of, short of pulling the fuses....

Yet still he doth joust, as he muses he must
at things that he doth not agree with.
So pardon the kittyman if at times it is true
that he does seem too much here to seetheth.

He always calms down and puts down to reason
those things that have made him so sour...
And 'cuz he can't change them, he tries to adjust
his presentitude to match that of the hour.

So fellow kitties and kittiettes please,
don't think badly of the kittymaster.....
He's just an old fool, with some thoughts he would share,
and would hope that that's not a disaster....

Like a stray cat he wanders.....
Trying to find his own way
Sharing with you what he thinks
When he ponders.....

Life is, as they say...a work in progress.
And, I must confess, I am quite a piece of work.....

Hope you understand when I get off kilter at times.....

It's just the way I'm wired.

Forgive us our trespasses as we would forgive them who trespass against us......
I know I have forgiven many.........

Meow meow.....luv ya all....

Mark

One of our older cats had worried Mir and I for a while, as she wasn't eating much, had lost some weight and wasn't quite acting herself. We got our local vet to check her out, and there were a couple of things that needed treating. Now, she's a lot happier and has regained her old mass. It may have been something triggered by the stress of moving late last summer, so hopefully this indicates that she's finally fully settled in!

The shyest of our younger kitties has also started to be a lot more friendly. Previously, I had to be very careful about how I approached him as he would just scamper away, but he's a lot happier around us big clumsy humans - if I sit on the floor, he'll often be part of the group of kitties that invariably come up to me for playing and petting.

I've taken some more pictures of the kitties, and I aim to upload them to my gallery (link in a previous post of mine in this thread) soonish!

Angels Happy and has a New Recliner that My Niece and Nephew kindly delivered, Assembled and also disposed of the old recliner in the trash bin after taking It a part a bit. :D It's a used Lazy Boy swivel recliner.

Glad to hear that your elder kitty is doing better!! You didn't say what needed treating, but moving to a new home can be VERY stressful for kitty.

As for the shy one.....you can fix that with a lot of loving attention. Be very gentle with him...he will slowly find that he loves the attention and petting. I have been doing this with my Tigger II for the last couple of months. Once very stand-offish, she now will come up to me looking for affection, which she rarely did before......

Same story with my shy one...Bandit...she usually stayed in the bedroom and rarely came out looking for me, but a few months of extra special pettings, and now she will come out looking for me to say meow and get a little attention.

She only rides in It when I'm there, As She doesn't want to lay in any recliner if I'm not in It. Soon I may be making an offer on this place(then I'll have My own pics & see If the place has swamp cooler and a garage door opener and If there is any damage or not), I hope(for no damage, a swamp cooler and a working garage door opener), I'll find out next week maybe. :D

I think it was some sort of allergy thing. She's had some other problems in the past, some very very serious, so we're more than a bit protective of her. I have to admit my wife does most of the actual vet related care of the cats; I just feed 'em, keep their water fountain clean and filled, and love on 'em as and when they're amenable to it!

We've done our best to be very gentle and loving with the shy one (Keegan), and it has paid off as he is much more trusting of us. Occasional treats, playing with him with the cat lure toy (although rarely stays exclusive to him as it'll draw all the younger ones - one will even do a standing jump of two feet to get to it!) and just making sure he never feels trapped or confined have all helped I'm sure.

Still haven't got the latest pictures off the camera yet. I promise, I'll try and do that during this week...
