I have sky map but it doesn't show anything. I want to know what directory I need to add exactly so I can get this to work. Thanks. |

Do check with the makers of the program that it is compatible with the new Seti. If they say ir's only compatible with the older Seti Classic, then it won't be compatible with Seti Enhanced. If they say it is compatible with Seti Enhanced, then these are the default directories for data: For BOINC 5, default directory is C:\Program Files\BOINC\ For BOINC 6, default directory is: - Windows 2000\XP\Server: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\BOINC\ - Windows Vista: C:\ProgramData\BOINC\ Else, check the add-ons page for newer versions or other versions of your program. Do know that we here at Seti who are helping out are also volunteers just as you are and that we have no real knowledge of the add-on programs. If you truly need help with how to set them up or add options, you will have to ask their developers, not the Seti people or BOINC developers. |

Does anyone run the Seti@home Mapview add on? Is it compatible with Vista? If yes, what data directory should I add? I can see the sky map, but no locations of the WU's. Thanks. Version 6.54 with Boinc Manager 6.2.18 Program dir: c:\Program Files\BOINC Data dir: c:\ProgramData\BOINC, c:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects and c:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\setiathome.berkeley.edu |

As Jord said in his reply that you quoted, if you need assistance with an add-on, your best bet is to go to the developer for support. |

My question was meant for everyone, not just the volonteers. The site of the developer is worthless as it has been last updated in 2006 and it doesn't say anything about Vista support or target directories. |

I got it to work now. Thanks. I am a visual person. I like to see what my computer is doing. LOL! |
