A bush walk from a few weeks ago...

so whats around the corner...

...a Kiwi-bird?? ;-)))) is there any..? I wish it was..........

Very nice photo.. I`ll take a walk there ;-)

No kiwis in this forest, but there is on the end of my sisters farm up on the Coromandel Peninsula. I hope to go hiking on their farm this christmas when the weathers warm and to photograph one or two, they are nocturnal and very secretive birds (they cant fly). I will have to make a hideaway up a tree and wait for them.

I think you would enjoy a walk there AriZonaMoon... ;-)

Yes StealthEagle, these little nooks of forest are not that common in many places. Lucky for me I have a mountain range only 30 minutes away and can drive there and park then hike. I sometimes go up onto the tops and along the high trail for 3 or 4 days. I went hiking last christmas with 2 other guys from work down in the South Island, we walked the Travers Sabine pass... tough rocky country up on top.. stood right on the end of the main glacier... awesome.. beautiful place.

oopss wrong track I meant to say the Rees-Dart track which is bottom of the South Island, not the Travers Sabine, which is the top of the South Island.. the travers is the one I'm presently looking at completing early next year.

And thanks for the comment DR CETI, I am lucky enough to be living in a place that has good scenery.

Do you have any photos from that trek? If so I would love to see some of them.

John, this is a beautiful Photo. I love the red/orange on the clouds and the tree branches and leaves make a perfect frame.

Thank you John, what a wonderful picture. We need reminders like this, that we live on a beautiful spaceship, called Mother Earth.

Yes they are the best part of the thread But they do bloat the thread when repeated over and over. :(

Richard I was talking about the photos being copied in replies. And as far as size goes yes that is fine if you want people to use a magnifying glass to see the detail. :))))

To be honest bob.
Replies with pictures has nothing to do with loading time.

OH I didn't know that, I thought that each time it was copied that it reloaded again. so that it loaded for each copy of the photo.
Thanks for the heads up on this.
