I've the same problem and I've the latest version.

The graphics don't run. And I checked off the Protection mode too.

BOINC 6.2 when installed by default does not show graphics or the screen saver for the older applications. The applications used by the project must be BOINC 6 compliant, meaning that they will work under BOINC 6 (and previous versions of BOINC due to backward compatibility).

It's only that due to the new security setup of BOINC (a service that doesn't allow interaction with the desktop) that the older applications don't do their graphics anymore. In the older applications the graphics module is built into the science application. For BOINC 6 compliancy the applications need to be separate, one science application and a graphics application.

When Seti releases these new applications is anyone's guess. Perhaps after they rolled out Astropulse completely and got all the kinks out. Perhaps later.

In any case, you can get the graphics and screen saver to work in BOINC 6.2, by uninstalling and reinstalling it, then in the Installer choose Advanced and in the window thereafter, take the check off of the Protected option.

If you then install BOINC, it'll install in a graphics compatibility mode. It won't be a service, so you have to start BOINC by running BOINC Manager and if you exit this BOINC will cease running. But it will show the graphics of older and newer applications, if the project does graphics at least.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling BOINC to get the advanced options but it doesn't give me these options when reinstalling. I uninstaled and deleted the BOINC folder in Program Files but it still did not give me the advanced options. Any ideas? Thanks
