My favorite Martian. One of my all time faves... Broken spaceship in the garage... I think ET is already here... just invisible ;-) And don't forget... Mister Ed A horse is a horse, of course, of course... and no one can to talk to a horse, of course. That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister Ed. @Uli : 'Get Smart' gets 2 thumbs up... Chaos vs. Control... sounds like my childhood ;-) |

I vaguely remember another Australian show that was set aboard a coast guard ship. I can’t remember the title but it aired in Canada in the mid 80’s. It helped kindle my love of all things nautical. How about an old Australian prog, Brodo, called Homicide..... Jeez, you guys are making me remember how old I am! I remember far too many of these old shows, then there is Burke's Law (Gene Barry in his Rolls-Royce). Don't take life too seriously, as you'll never come out of it alive! |

I vaguely remember another Australian show that was set aboard a coast guard ship. I can’t remember the title but it aired in Canada in the mid 80’s. It helped kindle my love of all things nautical. Homicide is comming every week on AXN in german cable tv. I was watching more the original star trek series and time tunnel. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

Listed above, along with it's stablemates Division Four and Matlock Police.....nobody could make cops shows like Crawford Productions :-) |

Long long ago... Thunderbirds - All hail the bendy palm trees :) Captain Scarlet - versus the crazy Martian disco lights. COSMOS - Please, please someone (Steven Hawkings?) remake this show. Dr Who - John Pertwee/Tom Baker. Love the new series. Star Trek - You canna change the laws of physics, Captain! Star Cops - Loved the main characters PDA which understood spoken language. Survivors - Scarey, post biological warfare accident, vision of the future. The Kenny Everett Show - Naughty Bits! The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (Radio 4, then the BBC TV show) - Douglas Adams, we miss you! My electronic thumb is constantly powered up, and I do know where my towel is :) Tomorrows World - can we sue them for not now living on the Moon / Mars / Spacestation / Underwater? The Tomorrow People - used to 'jaunt' around the playground : grab belt buckle, close eyes, run forward, open eyes - hey presto a jaunt (or trip, fall over, bruise knees/head <LOL>) The Six Million Dollar Man - used to run (very slowly) at 60mph all the way home from primary school. The Great Egg Race - A science/engineering competition with Heinz Wolf and Magnus Pike. Connections - A history of science with James Burke(?) Monkey - A strange cult show following the adventures of Monkey, Pigsy, Tripitaka and MEMORY_BLANK. Actually, I think I will sue the BBC with regards to the Tomorrows Worlds programme.
Douglas Adams - The Late, Great, Sadly Missed, Bath-taker :-) |

Long long ago... OH YES. There are a few in your list that I had completely forgotten about. Dr Who - John Pertwee.....and that was the last time I ever saw Dr Who! Star Trek - You canna change the laws of physics, Captain! Or as we used to say in Saudi Arabia "It's life Jim but not as we know it" LOL Tomorrows World - Wing Commander Raymond Baxter DFC. I will never forget him speaking those words..."And SHE FLIES" as Concorde took to the air for the first time in '67 I think. Connections. Yes. BRILLIANT. So many misconceptions put straight, so many mysteries solved for me. Who knew that Morse didn't invent the Telegraph? He only invented the Morse code and Morse key, the Wheatstone Telegraph had been around for a couple of years. Remember "Steptoe" and Til Death do us part"? Radio Programmes... Hitch-Hikers was a MUST. Before that... Sunday dinner, Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pud accompanied by The Billy Cotton Band Show. "Wakey WAAAAAYYYYKKKEEEEE" The Navy Lark. John Pertwee and Lesley Phillips. "Left hand down a bit" Two Way Family Favourites. HHHHancock's Half Hour" with Sid James, Hattie Jakes and Eric Sykes. Join the #1 UAE Team. |
